It must be an S3 tank if the fuel injection is retained. I like it a lot. |

It was the first of the "wilie G." factory customs, and the first "middleweight" bike built by HD... it combined the sporty-ness of the sportster, and the heavy feel of the FL line. It weighed about 75 pounds more than the sporty, and about 150 lees than a dresser. AMF killed it fast, though, because of sales numbers, though it planted a seed, that left the "Dyna" line grow to what it is today. It also started a long chain of Willie G. customes. |

No one seems to have notice the Chain tensioner on the X1 hybrid.... |

that gas tank on the X1 is the tank that is under the cover llok at the height of the filler neck. If that is the HighSide racing i think it is, i met the guys at homecomming there real cool guys they were riding down the freeway with there legs crossed on the seat. |

Spiderman, Very good observation!! You seem to be absoulutely correct in that it is the inner fuel tank without cover and then painted. Looks very good from a distance. I wonder how it looks up close? I wonder how hard it is to paint the inner tank? |

I don't think that bike hanging from the rafters is a SuperGlide. I think it is an XR750 race bike. Notice the exhaust exiting from the front left side of the rear head. Also, the primary looks a lot like an Iron head XL. You can also see that the cases/transmission are all one piece. Jeff |

Jeff: I think we're talking about different bikes. Timmy2: Did you know that the boat tail on the '71 Super Glide was originally a $60 option on the 1970 Sportster? Sad but true. You could get it in solid colors or the red, white and blue "Sparkling America." |

What? You thought "Rain Forest" was a trick to keep tourists away? Ya got to be a stud to get 12,000 miles a year up here

Dudes, I think the bike in the rafters is one of Evel Knievel's jumpers--look at the funky pegs! r-t |

Buelliedan , it is not hard to paint that tank you just have to make sure it is preped properly and there is a right amouunt of polymers thinner etc. |

p.s. there is no chain tensioner on it it is just a roller you can see there is no pivot point for it |

Damn Spidy...you're just full of useful info. I noticed that about the tank after using that for a backround on my comp. It looks damn good finished. Makes me wonder why more people don't go that route instead of buying all them cheesy tank accents. |

probally cause it costs a little bit more and they will have the tank for a week or more plus a lot of high quality shops will charge premo for it |

Buelliedan, We all know its a Buell, but with VR bodywork I just wanted to make look right. Like the race bike. Actually it has Buell all over it. Johnnybravo, Its an old Aerocharger kit modified. I like it tucked under the bike out of the way.

What protects your turbo from being damaged by a speed bump or other such obstacle. that looks like it could be expensive?? |

That's a bad machine! That turbo placement looks great. I can't stand how the current Aerochargers mount. What kinda numbers that bad boy put out? |

Buelliedan, I guess it could be problem, but its not too much lower than a muffler. Johnnybravo, I think the exhaust is just a stock S2, up to the joint on the front left side. Rick A ,I don't have numbers(yet) |
