i'm lookin to fit a new seat on my XB9S. my primary concern is comfort for my girlfriend who will be sitting on the back of it. next it has to look good and be tough. toss up your recommendations |

I got the select seat for my 9SL, wife is much more comfortable. The gel and foam makes a ton of difference ... http://badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/1 65259.html |

your wife likes the seat huh? hows that split down the middle work for her? looks like it could be uncomfortable. how does it perform when youre riding more aggressively? |

My girlfriend was not a fan of the select seat. It seemed the crease in the center and sloping down edges caused some severe pressure points. It was fine for couple hour long rides, but longer days caused her some severe discomfort. |

yea it doesnt look very comfortable for the passenger, but it does look like it would help dissipate heat a little bit. i also like the Skyline seat |

I went from the SL seat to the select, so it was like going from a bare seat pan to a Lay-Z-Boy. The 'V' in the center works good for her because she fits with her butt bones resting on the thick padding (she's a size 2). As for aggressive riding, I don't when she's on back (we have 2 kids ... can't risk it), but it works good for me solo. We haven't made any real long rides, so I don't know how she would fare in the 'longer days' ... but she has a more comfortable seat on our other bike for those trips.
Probably best to see if anyone in your area has a different seat, and test fit ... I hear the Corbin is pretty comfortable as well, and it doesn't have the 'V'. |

ask al at American Sport Bike about the corbin with the lower back part. i think it was made just for them.
if you notice. the back seat is flat, not humped like the one they show on the corbin site. i have a friend with the humped one and his girl says that my seat is MUCH more comfortable. the only other and most comfortable option is the city x seat. but you slide around a little more |
