I have some pretty large hands and was wondering what options, if any, are out there for fatter handgrips. It sucks that the traction grips are gone now but to be honest they were still kinda small.

The heated handgrips look a little fatter, but with the stator issues ive been reading about im a little reluctant to add a power accessory.

any other suggestions?

The think gel grips on Americansportbike.com are thinker than the traction and softer, dampen more vibration...just be careful installing them as they are very soft and tear easy.

Heated grips are no problem, I've had 'em on my CR since day one.

If you want size (I've got big paws too), put a couple wraps of tennis racket grip tape on 'em. Cheap, you can tailor it to "just your size", and you can redo it at any time. Worst case, that can hold you over until you find some you like, and can help you narrow down just how big you want your grips to be.

Mabey I will look into the heated grips then. Ill run up to my dealer and see if they are any bigger.

The ECM controls the accessory line, and will shut it off if there is insufficient power.

I use Grip Puppies, there is a link below. These are great, they fit over the stock handgrips and add about a 1/2" diamater and cushion the vibrations a little. No thte best if you ride in wet weather, I hardly ever do. I used them on my Ducati as well.

look in a Custom Chrome or Tucker-Rocky catalog. there is a 7/8" 'cruiser' grip that has a chrome ring at the top and your choice of skill or plain chrome end cap. The end caps come off and the grip needs trimming on the end to fit nicely. this is the fattest grip I have ever found over the years. My S1 has 95Kmi and the 14 years of wear on those grips is noticeable but not significant. One of the first things I bought when I got the CR.

I wrapped mine with tennis racket wraps. Works great. Cost about $4.
