I am just trying to get some info from the experts. I have just bought an 06X, and am looking for some thicker hand grips. I just traded in the HD which had some pretty fat grips that were quite comfortable. I have some pretty big mitts, and the stock grips just aren't as comfortable as I would like.

I'm a fan of the Buell Traction Grips. They're a little thicker in the middle than stock.

Grip Puppies over the stockers. They're the bomb.

I have had these on the last four bikes.
Great for vibrating twins, ad a bar snake and you're set.

I use heated gloves.

Grip puppies - will they work on top of the factory XT heated grips?

I have traction grips on my X1 and love them. If I could find something like that without messing up the factory XT grips, that would be great.

I like these thick gel grips that American Sport Bike sells:

Similar shape to the Buell Traction grips, but made of "cushier" material.

"Grip puppies - will they work on top of the factory XT heated grips?"

Yep. They work fine. I didn't see much to any difference with the heated grips.

Another vote for Buell Traction Grips. After 70,000+ miles on the Uly(s) they're the best I've used.

I liked the Buell traction grips on my 9sx, but they wear out pretty quick.

I got grips when I was restoring a 95 KDX-200, and *really* like them. They will be the next set of grips for my Buell when I wear out the traction grips on there now.

Hey! I think those are the same thing Al is carrying... so count that as two votes for those grips...

I got a set of the Buell Traction grips to put on. Will I still be able to wrap them with bacon with the Poly Heaters on high, so that I can have a sammich at the end of a 30 mile ride?

Tennis racket grip tape from WallyWorld. Works great for making the grips the diameter you want, it's cheap...and you can get it in *colors*! : )

Got the grip puppies in the mail yesterday.

Easy to put on, had to trim about a 1/4" off for fit.

Heated grips still work fine, now my grips are nice and mushy.

This site rocks.
