I love the style, but why do that to a $10,000 brand new machine? If you want something that looks old, just buy something old/ |

Do those bars allow the front wheel to turn at all, or am I missing something? |

THIS is proof of what happens when you don't discipline your kids when they are growing up. After taking a second look at that bike, his parents were probably IDIOTS too, no one could become that stupid in one generation. |

If you're going to do something stupid, at least do it the smart way...

i personally love rat bikes, now doing that to a brand new bike is a little odd, but if i had enough disposable income to do it i guess i probably would too! im sure people will bitch when it tear apart my 08 also... |

you know what, its HIS bike. if he wanted to push it of a bridge he can. More power to him for being his own person. No_rice take some pics when you do. An olive drab 1125r would look pretty sweet |

I don't know. I think it has it's charms. Seems like the main gripe is that he started with an 07. So what you are really saying is that you don't eschew the chrome, assless pants, and doo rags as much as you all say you do. You are angry because he took a shiny new bike and made it look old. I look at it this way, he got a rat bike that looks like it's 40 years old but has the reliability (and warranty) of a brand new bike. Doesn't sound like a bad deal when he's riding past scores of butt jewelry riders stuck on the side of the road because the one off custom chrome Superman sissy bar emblem is stabbing them to death. Besides, $10,000 is like $100 bucks to some folks. Scuffing the paint on the bike of a painter is no big deal. Blow the engine of an engine builder and he see's a new pet project. It's all relative. |

we just got one of those nightsters to replace the lighting that insurance co. totaled out. mainly because the wife still has the blast, i'm getting my cyclone back next weekend and leaves me open to either get the tt or the 1125 one day. the closest i'm coming to customizing it is putting the two seat, passenger pegs and after market pipes with the race ecm on it. it the guys got the money then more power to him. |

It looks like he's trying create the image that it has traveled far, seen much, experienced lots that the roads offer when really it's just a new bike that may not have many miles on it all. Seems contrived to me. |

I imagine this fellow will whine about trade in when he gets tired of the bike. I get the biggest kick out of the guys with custom/specialized bikes then crying about no trade in. |

"we just got one of those nightsters to replace the lighting that insurance co. totaled out." Good for you! The Nightster has really grown on me, especially after seeing one in person. You got a hell of a story to tell about flying Lightnings and Neil's Gap. |

A belt just does not look right on a bike like that. Could have purchased a nice solid mount Sporty for 4K and do the same thing. |
