Anyone know when the 2008 contingency program will be posted? I'm waffling on what I want to race next year in my return to the fray, but I'm leaning towards an XB12 since there's a possibility of off-setting the expenses. Also, I've been away from CCS for three or four years now, they won't make me come back as an AM will they? What would be really cool is a Buell spec racing class to help celebrate their silver anniversary! Thanks, Don Allen badboyrr@charter.net |

Yes there will be contingency, but no there will not be a spec class. Since we are winning lots of races in the mixed brands classes, we are focusing on putting money there. Get more respect that way... |

Yeah... the spec class thing can only fly if you grab a half dozen local racers and petition the race organization... generally the Clubs allow a spec class if there's like 6 or 10 racers. We had talked about a Blast class here at WSMC just because it's so cheap and silly... but nobody could agree on anything and we had 5 people building wildly different Blasts. S1/Blast, 2 XB/Blasts, Blast w/XB front end, Blast with XB heads and one nearly stock blast. See if you can get a half dozen racers to sign a petition. See what CCS would require. You might be able to pull it off. CCS has a good bunch of Buell racers. I really regret CCS pulling out of the West 2 seasons ago! |

Contingency for Amateurs is not too good compared to experts. Hopefully that will change next year. Something in Supertwins for CCS would be great. That what they offer now for Expert but not Am. That way the contingency for Supertwins would cover the XB and 1125r. |

I agree. I wish there was another paying class for CCS amateurs. I was thinking about an 1125R for next year, but it wouldn't pay anything amateur! Supertwins would be nice! Please, Buell are ya listening!!! Schmitty |

1125 Ben? You really want to be on the track in the Unlimited and Heavy Weight classes? I give you credit. It would be great to have for SuperTwins, but the rest of those classes are nuts! Look at what happened to Paul the last race of the year! |

But I agree that the Am payout could use another class or 2. But we should be happy to get something! |
