Here is Denis's e-mail address. He'd be delighted to see that you guys are rooting for him. He's a great guy too, and an excellent ambassador for Buell. The Buell's are making big waves here in France, with the Protwin victories (Buell on the podium at EVERY race..) and the great showing at the Moto-Tour, as well as the international road-rally championship. Denis was up against some of the best riders in France, and the Moto-Tour is one heck of an event, with a lot of media attention, although this year marred by some confusion over internal French Federation and FIM classifications and different rules...doh ! Michel Amalric started the Moto-Tour well on his TT 1200, but was involved in a crash which knocked him into touch, luckily with only minor injuries, and a sadly battered Buell.....It's a shame, because he was looking forward to the Moto-tour and could have made the top ten...maybe next year !! denisbouan@hotmail.com BTW, I was in Misano this weekend to see the Free-Spirits Buell race in the last round of the Italian SuperTwins championship. Great stuff ! I'll post some photos on Dave's site as soon as it starts working again ! Otherwise I'll pop them here. Great bunch of guy's, the Free-Spirits team, cold weather but really warm welcome ! Awesome bike, too. That freaky bit of tarmac in the last photo is the Pole Mécanque at Ales, built in an abandoned coal mine, this is the "Rally" test-track, there is also a neat racetrack, MX track, a cart and Supermotard track and a big workshop complex in a really neat environment dedicated to racing cars and bikes. Ales is in the South of France, near Nimes. |
