I noticed last night my rear tire looks like it is sitting at an angle between the frame. I shook the rear tire checking for wheel bearing play and did not notice any play. I'm thinking I have a swingarm bearing/bushing wear problem. Is this common to the tubers? Thanks Mike |

Is it just the rear wheel or the swingarm as well? On what plane does it appear crooked? Raise the rear end off the ground, brace against the frame and give the swingarm a hard shake. The bearings would have to be completely wasted in order to make things appear askew, and by that point you would've definitely noticed something wrong. Most like there's a wheel alignment or powertrain alignment issue. |

Looking down from the top it looks angled to th left. I don't have the means to jack the bike up safely but i did have the rear tire replaced by the local HD/Buell dealership. I'm going to give them a call Thanks Mike |

I think you need new rear isolators myself. |

Is the wheel misaligned? Make sure the axle adjustment is equal on both sides. |

Mike What Daniel said about the wheel alignment being equal on both sides. Also check your swing arm mounts and front engine mount. If they haven't been replaced with the upgrade units they might be due. Joe |

Mike, The swingarm bearings are roller bearings and no, they don't commonly have problems. The likely cause depends upon the type of misalignment you think you are seeing. If your rear wheel appears to be turned in yaw as if on a steering axis and turning to the left as you describe, then I agree that rear axle alignment and the isolators are likely suspects. |

To All Thanks Guys I'm going to get it checked out real soon. It's coming up on the 10K service. Just as a point of interest I have not noticed any ill handling from the misalignment. Mike |
