just like the title says, i am looking for a large pegasus patch for the back of my leathers. i was going to just have the design stitched into the leathers, but man is that expensive. anyone come across some somewhere? we have the newer buell logo here at work, but i would prefer the pegasus instead. it just has more character! |

I am also looking for a LARGE Buell patch for the back of leathers. I have one of the 10X4 patches. I'd love a large Buell Racing patch. Sorry to hijack, but I thought it might get some additional discussions going. |

I think the pegasus needs to make a comeback. that is one cool logo if you ask me. I think I would buy one or two of them too. Either for my jacket or to put on the side's of my soft saddle bags. |

FB - check with Mikethebike72. Webe just picked up a large racing patch from the dealer where Mike works. They actually have a nice Buell display. (Message edited by Ulywife on October 22, 2007) |

I've been looking also. Either a large Pegasus, or just a large BUELL patch. |

the large pegasus in a with a reflective outline would be AWESOME. Same idea with the Buell racing logo on a reflective backing... I don't think that there is enough really cool reflective patches out there, the only ones I can find are very cruiser oriented. |

I "googled" patches not to long and found a lot vendors that will make just about anything. It may be worth a look. |

I found mine at a shop that was dropping Buell from it's dealership. They darn near gave it away. So if you have any near you or you are going on a trip stop in to the dealers with out a Buell sign and you might get lucky also. I hope this helps. |

Wait, so Buell makes (or made) them? |

I would much rather buy a properly licensed patch than have one made up and violate the trademark laws. I have the black and orange text and oval Buell patches on my jacket now. They were listed as being reflective, but I'm guessing that was another Vanson fumble because I have not been able to detect any reflectivity at all in any of them. It would be really nice to be able to combine form and function/safety in this segment of Buell's products. This could be another place to beat the japanese to the punch by bringing the product to market. |

My Vanson jacket has a large patch on the back, might check with them. If you make it yourself and not for sale there is no functional TM infringement, IMHO. Warhol and Campbell's soup comes to mind. (Message edited by mikej on October 23, 2007) |

But if I wanted a shop to make it and sew it on my jacket, then their could be problems. |

exactly my point, if you pay someone else to create it they have profited from re-creating someone else's trademarked property. That makes it illegal if I understand how it works. |

Are you guys really worried about getting in trouble for having a patch made? Afraid the trademark police are going to bust you while your riding some weekend? It is not like Buell has a large pegasus patch available. |

I'm not worried about it, but I also wouldn't want anyone stealing my product or design, but then I probably couldn't say much if someone liked something of mine and copied it on their own, but then if they then started selling it as their own then I might be a bit upset. Worried? No, not really. If you can't find what you want then make your own. http://www.worldclassflags.com/productimages/corpo rate_mobilehorse_sm.gif |

what Mikej said. I wouldn't worry about getting busted for it, but by the same token I would not take the theft of my intellectual property very well, and would not be flattered by it in the least. |

My daughter worked at the neighborhood embroidery shop last summer, and they would not do any sort of logo unless you could prove you had rights to the image. You might run into the same thing. Ebay always seems to have plenty of logo patches in all sizes, have you checked there? I also have seen large selections of patches including Buell (amazingly enough) at motorcycle shows. At the local show, they always had one outfit that sold the typical Harley fringed leather stuff as well as a huge selection of patches that they would sew on any jacket you brought in. You'd have to wait until next spring for that option, though. |

The C&H image is awesome! It's also a damn site better than all the bastardized decals of Calvin peeing on whatever some person doesn't like. Dang I wish Waterson hadn't quit writing that strip... |
