OUCH! From the pics you are very lucky that you came away with as few injuries as you did. Take care of yourself and keep us posted. |

Yeah Froggy, I was just making a point. I don't know how many times I have been lectured by ABATE believers (that wear the absolute minimum gear) about the "risk" that I'm taking by riding wearing a full face helmet (and the rest of my gear of course) They NEVER see the irony in the idea that THEY are lecturing ME on riding gear and safety... Ouch. Glad you are okay. . . I'm thinking snowmobiling is not a good idea for you this winter. Can you imagine what had happnened had you been wearing one of those beanies or half-helmets? Some people will do anything to get a 2008 Uly . . . they have, you many know, HEATED GRIPS! |

I can't see the pictures either. From everyone else's comments though, it sounds like the helmet took quite a beating. Glad you were not injured worse than you were! Heal quick and here's hoping the insurance company does you right. I have taken a beating by an insurance company before, but I have heard of others getting very fair settlements. All the best to you. |

Damn that sucks. I had two low speed get-offs in as many weeks once. The damage was minimal, however, to both myself and the bike. Hope both you and the bike get back on the road soon. |

Those axle sliders effing rock! They really saved the forks and swingarm. I think this is the first recorded use of the new composite delrin sliders from Dark Horse Moto. I think they held up very well and did their job perfectly. There seemed to be a little rash on the one fork, but considering the rest of the bike, I'd say that they definitely did their job! |

Froggy, actually I think that mixed in with your curse is some good luck to have walked away from that sort of off. It really sucks to total the Uly but I'm glad to see you're not seriously hurt. |

My Uly was damaged less than your and Progressive totaled mine. The good of it all was they paid off 14 days from the date of the wreck and paid for my jacket, helmet and gloves. Hope you heal up quick! |

froggy, just heard guy. i really hope that your alright. i don't get on this thread to much cause unfortunately i don't own a uly and kind of jealous that i don't. you said that this is your third lay down. what was your 2nd one. right now the shoulder socket is still hurting along with the foot. the one thing you have going for you is your age. as far as the bike is concerned, it's totaled. i would have been better off not reporting it and just fixing it on my own. i really wish you speedy recovery there and hold off till spring. |
