Clockwise? No way! I'm for counter clockwise, which is what they run for bikes 90% of the time. |

Dago, Your sure about that? All the CMRA races I've been to run clockwise. From the pits down the front straight into a right turn Big Bend. |

The two times I've ridden there, they ran it counter-clockwise. I'll be happy in either direction as I ride the '25R with a huge grin on my face! HellBuelly J "A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single wheelie." --Lao Bzullie |

Well I'm glad you guys enjoyed the refresher... Shred is a great guy, Ya'll will be blessed to meet him. He was one of the first 3%ers I ever met at Road Atlanta. In fact I think I drank a few of his beers while I was there... but I learned a lot riding behind him in the mountains of N GA. You rarely see him crack the throttle unless hes racing... I was ecstatic to hear he was going to be there next week. I miss those 3%ers a lot! So that brings up the question, Who's going to March Badness next year? I'm Trailering up there and could use some company. It's a demo ride down Hwy60 starting at TWO (two wheels only). There is usually a group on Friday that hits the Dragon's tail, and Cherahala Skyway. There is amazing mountain riding there. I will be running video all day on Tuesday so if anyone wants me to follow them around the course a couple of times let me know. I'm running novice, and I think I'm fast but I might not be able to keep up. So in that case , check out chasecams.com for your own video cam... |

All the CMRA races I've been to run clockwise The 2007 CMRA schedule shows clockwise for June and counterclockwise for August. How's that for no favoritism? |

Well I guess that would make sense so they don't wear out one side of the tires. Having done both I prefer clockwise. With the exception of the Rattlesnake it seems to flow better. What are others' opinions? |

Well I guess that would make sense so they don't wear out one side of the tires. The fast guys wear out a set of tires each race day. It is unbelievable how much money it takes to race even at the club level these days if you want to run in the top 10. Do you guys that arrive first want to stake out a spot where all of us Beulligans can park together? |

Tim - can't wait to see ya there. I am also curious about what bikes you will have with ya... BTW do you still want that spare chock I have? Shred, I will see your ugly face sometime on Monday, I really just want some time to take a few photos. My vote is for CCW, it's the only way I have ever run that track and I don't need something else to worry about while riding the 1125R... but I will still go if its CW :P |

Would you please be so kind as to reserve me a spot? It'll be me and a trailer (8x12). If we could all find a spot next to some plugs, that would be great too. Thanks! CCW PLEASE! Big Bend going the other way just isn't the same. And what would I do without that triple apex on the back side of the track??? |

Looks like the weather is going to be perfect! Save Steve and me a spot too (near electrical outlets would be great!)

not sure where the electrical will be located, I only remember electrical by the buildings... and I usually park on the grass with the vehicle facing the main straight, anybody have a better location that isn't blocking garages? |

BTW, the on site photographer usually takes some pretty good photos, and you can talk to him before the day about buying the entire day of your shots for a set price, this is what I will be doing. If you need anything worked over, feel free to holler, I have a LOT of photoshop experience... and I am currently unemployed, so anything to fill up my free time |

Duc_htr, if you can, save a spot for my truck. Give me a call at 817-308-6990 when you know you'll be ready to ride on Monday so I can plan my day. And anyone else who wants to ride. Looks like the majority wants CCW, fine with me, it's going to be a great day. Anyone bringing their wife or girlfriend, my wife wants to come out. BTW she's 8 months pregnant. |

Paul - My wife will be with me. Hopefully she insn't pregnant. Dave - If I am reading the paperwork correctly, 9:00 AM will be the earliest anyone will get on the track. They want us to arrive early, get registered, get the bikes inspected, and attend a short "school". I'm looking forward to seeing you guys Tuesday! Had a blast ya'll and good riding Duc' and Skully.... Man was it cold, wet and windy on Monday. Had fun drying out the track with the rental cars around the track. I have to say Jeremy knows how to drive that Ford of his. Trip Nobles and I were both passengers at first but the it didn't last long. He's a loon.....and fun to be around. He spun out the Chevy HH' something. Not really sure what its called. I was driving Gary's rental HH'??? He's one of the "event manager's" for PTT and said he thought he'd bit a hole in his lip by the time I was done driving. I haven't had a chance to watch the video's but soon as I do I'll try to send a copy to the both of you. Jeremy, PM me your address, I want to send few things your way. |

That 1125r is a sweet bike. It's very easy to ride quickly. The brakes are phenomenal. And It's very comfortable, too. Although they claim 145 hp, I don't feel the bike I rode had the same punch my 6 does coming out of the corners. Say what you'd like, post all the charts you care to. I'm just going by the seat of my pants, and it wasn't impressed with the top-end power. Perhaps these pre-production test mules are detuned? I have no way of knowing. But the torque across the powerband is amazing! The 1125r is in no way an XB. They don't feel the same. They don't brake alike. They don't handle alike. And they sure as heck don't look alike. But it's one hell of a motorcycle. I'd buy one if it wasn't so fugly. I'm hoping that the 1125r v2 will be better looking than the ones I just saw. Until then, I simply won't own one. Yeah, I said it... I like my bikes to be pretty.

I agree with Dago until the ugly part, but looks are opinionated, which is good for women and motorcycle manufacturers... I don't think it looks as good as an XBr but I would rather ride it than a cookie cutter any day of the week. Shred, great times... Although Monday felt like a winter day in the N GA Mountains, it was still a great day. Driving the 1.3 track was a great experience. PM sent Met some great people from this board and can finally put some board names with faces. I look forward to riding with you all again. Skully thanks for the dark horse stuff. I will be sending you an order as soon as I get employed. Smoke, I have that purple chair of yours in my trailer, I tried to call the number on your card but it wasn't your cell. Thanks again for the grub... MBV is getting close, see ya there... |
