Noah is 7 and Mimi is 4 ("and a half Daddy"). We were able to comb their hair over their horns. You can hardly see them. |

Is Mimi the woman who was taking orders? I don't think I knew her name, or I would have. She is really named Mary Margaret after her Great Aunt, but we call her Mimi. |

my kids nicknamed my mother mimi when they were like 5 and 3 and it stuck with all the other grand kids for the past 20 yrs. she even made her email address as centomimi. |

You are in trouble!!!!! I am so screwed! I hope by the time she is dating I will have completed my gun collection, completed my yakuza tattoo shirt, and finished my 3rd degree black belt in Taekwondo. I'm taking the scary, psychotic, over-protective father gambit. |

When my oldest daughter was sixteen she was going out on a date with a seventeen year old boy with whom I wasn't impressed. I made it a point to be cleaning my rifles and shotgun when he came to pick her up. She was home on time, and he never came back, at least to the door. I learned my lesson. You can offer guidance, but you cannot guide them. Pretty much the way we were when at that age. I wish you the best at finding wisdom and patience to handle what is ahead of you. |

My only prayer is that my children's mistakes (experiences) are only momentarily painful and not life damaging. We all made mistakes. Some mistakes were necessary. Others were not. My hope is that my children only experience the necessary mistakes. In the end if that is the result, I will be pleased and feel I have done my duty as a parent. |
