Latest Springsteen album is a peach! Sorta payback for the last couple of Tom Joadish sorta stuff. This one has looped for 3 days. Rocking at the machine. Doesn't have the post 9-11 emotion of the rising. But 'my gypsy biker's coming home' has me like 'Badlands' had me. I quite clearly remember being excited about riding home with 'The Rising', Limited edition CD tucked inside my leathers. Then dribbling on about it online. But then I remember bailing out of work, jumping in my hot rod and going to the import LP store on Wynyard station in Downtown Sydney to buy 'The Wild The Innocent and the E Street Shuffle' years before it was released locally too. What was that - 78? This number I downloaded from itunes. Convenient. Nowhere near as sexy. (Message edited by danger_dave on October 18, 2007) |
