MSR plans, not really sure yet, I want to head over Monday night as well so the drive isn't so bad on Tuesday morning... have a couple of old buds that live in FW so I was thinking about visiting them, I will prob be outta town till Sunday. So I guess my plans are to show up Tuesday morning, can you camp there Monday night? or are you guys getting a hotel? PS looking for some leathers, heard they might be renting them on site, any specifics? >Will work for leathers< |

I called Motorsport Ranch and Brian Whitehead the Operations Manager said you can camp the night before. Just check into the office when you arrive. Here’s their website www.motorsportranch.com Here are 2 emails I’ve received from PTT on July 3rd about leathers: Vanson leathers is providing a select number of leathers for use at our Buell Inside Pass track days. These leathers are available at no cost to registered participants. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email us! Kreig Robinson Private Track Time Yes, we can arrange for leather rental at the Texas date. We will need the size. If they do not know- give me Height/weight info and I will take my best shot. Does any body know if HD/Buell dealers meeting will be back at the Gaylord this January? Also, we need to find someone who can take Chris place and get the Thunderbikes of North Texas (TNT) up and running. Here's the website www.thunderbikes.org Hopefully this trackday can spark some interest. I would but I'm moving soon to Azle and I have a child coming in late November. |

It's a boy. We'll have 2 acres on Eagle Mountain Lake where I use to have a small dirt track on the back acre when I was a kid. Well you know where this is going. |

Nice! Buell may very well be in that market by then. All they have to do is use a shrink ray on the TT. We're going to start working on #2 this time next year. I sure hope it's a boy. A wife and two daughters sounds a little... never mind. Blake doesn't delete posts. Looking forward to seeing/meeting everyone out there! |

Here is an email I received from Kreig in response to the Monday activities: The Monday event is a private, dealer only training event. Tuesday is the open to the public track day. |

Congrats Chris! I've not seen you since our blast across Talimena Drive last summer. Looks like I'll be a grandpa in February! Keith (Message edited by skully on October 08, 2007) |

Congrats! But neither of you seem old enough to be grandparents. It better be at least 25 years from now before I reach that milestone. ;) Watch out for bears on Talimena! I had a harmless, yet puckering encounter last time I was there. Beautiful ride... |

But neither of you seem old enough to be grandparents. We're not. But then it wasn't a committee decision! Keith |

Grats Chris! Well, 10 days guys, I spoke to Dave Ruocco about a few things the other day and thought I would share some info with ya. First, He confirmed Cowtown's post about leathers at no charge, for those who don't own any. Also, if you crash in them, you don't have to buy them! not that any of us are going to crash... Second, his opinion of the 1125R is very positive, which is making me itch even more. He said he likes the handling better than the XBs, easier into the corner and much easier holding it in the corner and the flat torque curve really shines on this bike. I know all of you are as thrilled as I am about riding this new beast! The demo rides are about 85% speed in your group, behind a lead rider. so you should get a pretty good feel on one. which in my opinion is better than the street demo rides I lead in Suches GA, where the speed limit was required by our leaders. Well thats all I got right now, can't wait to see you all at MSR, be there monday night! |

Looks like we will be staying in Granbury Monday night. What sort of paperwork are we supposed to have for the track day? Keith |

Here's a suggestions for those coming from out-of-town next week. Cresson is half-way between Benbrook and Granbury on Hwy 377. You may want to consider staying in Benbrook at a motel on or near Hwy 377 instead of Granbury. Most likely you will have to drive through Benbrook and Cresson to get to Granbury. In the morning you'll be driving opposite the rush hour traffic driving form Benbrook to Cresson than with it if you were driving from Granbury to Cresson. That being said, depending on how early you're coming Granbury is a very interesting and charming town with much better riding, especially to the south. For everyone that has never been to the Motorsport Ranch, Cresson is 14 miles from I-20 traveling southwest on Hwy 377. When you cross Hwy 171 at the only red light in Cresson you'll go about 1/4 mile and turn left into the gates just before Hwy 377 becomes a divided highway. See yall there. |

Would anyone be interested in going for a ride on Monday? We could meet at the Motorsport Ranch or somewhere else and have an afternoon ride. The manager said you could leave your bike at the track overnight. He wouldn't guarantee their safety, but it couldn't be worse than a motel, especially if there will be campers. |

Duc_htr, sounds great my cell is 817-308-6990. My bike will be track prep also, the law enforcement around here are not strict. If you're still planing on camping at the Motorsport Ranch we'll leave from there. I'll plan a ride around the Tres Rios (3 rivers) area. Maybe some others will join us. |

Details for Dummies? I understand there are track demo rides for the new bike in Cresson and someone has already provided directions. What are the dates/times? What to bring? Boots, gloves, license? I understand full leathers are provided. I just need someone to provide a summary. I feel like I've missed the conversation and the assumptions I can't keep track of. I grew up in Benbrook. The routes in that area are fantastic btw |

Next Tuesday, October 23rd. I'm not sure if the demos opened to the non-registered. This link may help. http://www.privatetracktime.com/ |

Keys, First, this is a registered track day with private track time. the link has been provided above. Second, Buell will be there with their bikes for you to ride on the track. this means you can demo your bikes as long as you have signed up and paid PTT (private track time). PTT provides track time to people who do not race. but to ride Buells bikes you have to have a few things. Must have a valid drivers license with a motorcycle endorsement... Must be 18 years of age... Must sign the wavers which Buell will provide at the track... Must have the riding gear specified by the PTT or Buell.com links... The Provided leathers will be a great addition to the track day, but if you have riding gear I would bring whatever you have, meaning your best leather jacket, best pair of riding pants, best track boots, best track gloves, and best helmet. It's not a guarantee that you will get a set of leathers from either of the vendors, so bring what you have. Most of us will only get a couple of demo rides throughout the day, so we will be bringing our own bikes to the track to ride as well. There are also other companies who provide these services throughout the year, some I know of are Lone Star Track Days, Ducati Track Days, and there are some others I am failing to recall at the moment. These are not only time spent on the track, but also time to spend with semi-professional racers, who will teach you the track, advanced riding techniques, and important riding information. I would say its like the Motorcycle safety Course, but advanced, controlled, and less restrictive. BUT it's not a substitute for the MSC... This is not a Normal Buell Demo event where you show up, sign up, and ride. It's better, MUCH BETTER, and I would be willing to pay twice the price for it, but don't let Buell or PTT read that! Finally, if you have a way to trailer your motorcycle, I would suggest doing it, If you can only ride to the track, and something bad happens like a crash, then it's a long walk home ... this suggestion comes from experience! Feel free to fire any other questions you may have... |

Duc_htr, Good talkin with ya today....I'll have my video cam with me. I'll give you a ring when I get in on monday. Still haven't received my flight plans from PTT but most of time when I fly in for the for the events I arrive early in the AM or at least by noon the day before the event. |

Alright guys, this is in no way a video showing off, or saying I have a great line around this track. this is simply a way for you guys who have never been here to at least get a feel for it... I hope you enjoy... MSR |

Cool! I like that death-ray that zaps all the traffic in front of you. Even though the Inside Pass on the Buell site is advertising the 3.1 mile track, MSR says they have only leased the 1.7 mile track, as shown in Duc_htr video. I've never been on the new 1.3 mile part but since we're apparently not using it I would like to suggest to anyone with a say (Shred) that they run us clockwise around the track. It's seems to flow better for bikes. |

Howdy y'all! Some of us are coming up from Austin for the 1125R Dealer Introduction Class (myself, Denny "da Bomb" Bahm and Jeryl the SalesDevil) and then I'm staying for the trackday and a bunch of other HellBuellies from Austin will be coming up for that, too. Well be staying at the Comfort Inn in Cleburne. I know I've met some of y'all at the barbeque joint after the dealer meeting two years ago, but I can't wait to get to know some more of ya. Duc_htr, cool of you to supply the video of the track. Its been a couple of years since I've been there (since before the new section was open), so a refresher is nice. I'll be bringing a couple of the CVS "one time use" video cameras that I've hacked so I can use them over and over, so I'll get a little video too. Gonna be fun! HellBuelly J "Have you ever noticed?
