I saw those a year ago and they looked like something worth having, I just know I'd be that guy to forget to unhook it before dismounting and POOF! I'm thinking my tax return...if I have anything left after my garage fund. |

Knowing me I'll figure a way to pop the thing while riding. Most likely in a hard lean... |

At least its powered by a c02 cartridge, cheap to replace if you do unintentionally turn into a marshmallow... |

There is a thread about it in the quick board. Those jackets are actually a pretty slick setup. I first seen one back in 06 at the Fort Carson, Colorado motorcycle Rodeo. They had a Rep there that was demonstrating the jackets. You hook a tether cord up to the jacket, when the cord is pulled it punctures a small CO2 cannister and the jacket nearly instantly inflates. At the time I think the jackets were around 400 to 500 bucks. Well worth it if you ask me. ...and yes if you just want to pull the cord for the hell of it, you can buy new CO2 cannisters for about 2 bucks. |

Lets require a flashing light on helmets, next we can put a cage around the bike, oh yeah let's add 2 more tires to make it more stable.... Ah F@#! it... I'll just take the car! |

I'll probably buy one. Technology is getting better all the time. The only downside I see is if the thing gets hot ( wonder if it feels like wearing a rubber rain coat ). One you have a date with the pavement, these things seem very reasonable. |

I was thinking the same thing, but they have obviously put in a safeguard. Unless you are Dani Pedrosa, you should easily trigger inflation during a spill. |
