If you hadn't of followed me when I missed the turn back to Wolf Pen Gap, I'd have been taking the Ten Toe Express back to the Blood Mountain lodge... I never got a chance to thank the guy you got to carry the gas, but he looked pretty happy to do it... not as happy as me, though... |

Yeah, I did. I didn't want to get caught with a full tank like when I was chasing Phil up Blood Mountain, so I only added 1.5 gallons at a time at gas stops. I figured a smaller amount of gas would help the handling and it did... until it was all gone. Then the handling turned into crap. Barker got a touring bike rider to strap a gallon of gas onto his luggage rack and carry it out to me. I kept the gas can Barker bought and I'm going to make it a "Pay It Forward" gas can and leave it at the TWO campgroud after I scratch my name and the date I was saved on it. Hopefully, it'll be there for someone else the next time. |

need to make sure that everytime it does save some one the name and date get put on it to monitor the use it gets. |

I'm thinking the better place to have the P.I.F. gas can, would be at Dale's. You'd have to get the gas there anyway. Dale is very motorcycle friendly, and he's also Bueller friendly. |

Either way, it would certainly keep someone else from buying another can....gas is expensive enough! Word will get out to anyone who frequents the mountains around Suches. |

next time your up there maybe you can talk to him about it and since dj already has his name scratched into it there's no question as to who it belongs to. (brainfart)if you think about it for one second glitch would that be a conflict of interest with him trying to sale the gas cans to begin with. |

You could be right. If I remember, I'll talk to GT and Dale on Sunday about it. |
