white fire, the fuel mapping software has a feedback loop to compensate to a degree with broad changes to the overall fuel map. Take it out for an easy ride that lasts ten mins or so. keep the rpms between 3k and 4k for a steady five minutes. the software should alter the maps and give you a smoother ride/idle. when you get back it should be better. but you will notice a power loss. (i have an old car that ran great at the drags in indiana, but would only turn 14.25 up here) (Message edited by luckydevil on June 02, 2007) |

For any Colorado Springs and surrounding area Buell riders there is a Altitude Riders meeting tonight (21 Aug) at 7pm taking place at Old Chicagos on Academy Blvd. These are very informal meetings just to talk about whatever is going on. See our discussion group at: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Altituderiders / Or email me at: f_skinner@yahoo.com Frank |

Hey Colorado Buellers, I'm looking for information on a Motorcycle accident on September 14th or 15th that killed a man named Morgan Burke. Most likely in the Colorado Springs area. If someone has any information on this, please email me with it. Looking for more specifics on what happened exactly. Thanks, Joel Hinkle |

is there an email list of Denver-area riders? anyone know? i'm on the south side of town, and every time i head out for a short after-work solo blast through the hills, i think it would be more fun to have one or two other bikes along... if anyone knows of such an email list, or a thread on BadWeb for quick local-ride hookups or whatever, please let me know! ...maybe such a thread could be started if it doesn't already exist. |

Chasten, there is a group that rides most weekends (sundays usually), they meet at the Conoco at the Morrison exit off 470. THIS SUNDAY should be a breakfast ride starting at rocky mountian HD. (bout 8am-8:30 leave time) 1st sunday of each month. They usually send out the rally cry via e-mail. I haven't saved any, so i don't have the list to email you. but show up some weekend and add your name. and post ride invites here, most everyone checks this out too. i won't be there this weekend, i have a cold. Any Colorado Bullers plan on attending the 25th Buell anniversary in East Troy WI (first weekend in July) My girlfriend and I plan on attending. We will ride out. It would be nice to meet up with others for the 1000 mile trek to WI. I know it is 9 months away but it is never too early to plan. Frank Fountain, CO |

Our northern Colorado Buell dealership has a loosely fit riders group, mostly Buells, many Ulysses, and we are trying to grow the group to enable like minded sport and adventure riders to find great routes, fun events, riding partners and maybe a few tips & tricks along the way. We use the Meetup.com site as a medium to give members a calendar, photo posting, message board and other means to organize rides and share information. http://buell.meetup.com/29/ CRAG Buell Riders, Colorado Rockies Adventure Group. If you are interested, check it out. SO far participation has been slow but building. |

Maximum, where did you stay last year and are you planning on staying at the same place this year? I have heard that some of the hotels are already booked up. I am not too concerned since it is a BIG city but would like to stay close to the activities or at the least close to the Buell Plant. Frank |

First off - hello to my local fellow Buelligans! I'm starting to plan for the 25th homecoming. New 1125 should be here in a couple of weeks. I expect I'll ride to Troy solo, unless I can graft a Uly rear on the 1125 before then. Wife wouldn't ride into town on the back of my XB9R so I don't see her riding to Troy on the stock 1125 rear. I live in Longmont, work in Boulder Zack |

Zack, glad to hear another Colorado rider is going to make it. My girlfriend and I will be riding out. She rides a Nightster and I will be on my 96 S2T. We are making plans for it this weekend and will probably make hotel reservations soon. I am south of Colorado Springs and North of Pueblo. When we know when we are leaving and what route I will post it in case anyone wants to join up. We plan on taking two days to get there. Frank |

Hey Frank, Last year I stayed at a Comfort Inn in Wukwonago Wisconsin. It was very close to the factory, but was further away from other events. I just went ahead and booked hotel reservation at the Sheraton that Buell is advertising as having special rates. I figured that since it is the 25th anniversary, it may be wise to book early. I called and booked a room from Wednesday the 2nd to Sunday the 6th (checking out on the 6th). Last year I started my trip back to Colorado on Sunday after unveiling the 1125r, and that worked out pretty good. Here's the deal, there is a special rate for the Buell event of $90 per night for Thursday thru Sunday (July 3-6), but the 2nd (Wednesday) had no special rate, therefore the rate is $194. I went ahead and reserved the 2nd because this may be added as a group rate day later, but if not I may decide to stay somewhere else on Wednesday. I paid about $90 per night last year at a mediocre room, so the Buell group rate is a great price! Here is the Hotel contact info: Sheraton Brookfield Hotel 375 South Moorland Rd Brookfield, WI 53005 866-500-0309 There was only one other guy from Colorado that I met last year, so it is nice to see that there may be more people represented us this year. |

Thanks for the info. I made my reservations starting on the 1st as I think we will take two days to get there and will arrive late that evening. I used the retired military rate for the first two nights at 105 dollars, I think, then the group rate for the rest of it. We will checkout on the 6th and either visit with my girlfriends parents or headback, depending on how much time she has with them during the event. Frank |

Although there doesn't seem to be an exact schedule of events yet for Homecoming, last year the official Buell events started on Thursday, and Wednesday had pre-homecoming events sponsored by a local dealer. That is why I am planning to arrive on the 2nd, probably early afternoon. Good call on the military rate, I forgot to ask about that. I'll call back and get my Wednesday rate adjusted. Right, I remember the dates from last year. Seems like they are having a couple of extra days this year. I wanted to get there and be well rested for the activities. They just have the dates on the web site and not much about what is taking place and on what days. I am not much for track days but like to watch. I hope the old S2 makes it Frank |

>>>>I hope the old S2 makes it You could be fined for just **thinking** that . . . Frankly (pardon the pun) I'm torn between riding a new "very special" Buell and taking my good old RELIABLE S-2 Thunderbolt. I've been writing about the Thunderbolt lately and I've got to tell you . . . it's looking "Thunderbolt all the way". Court P.S. - there will be PLENTY to do and the activities will largely reflect owner requests from the past. If there are certain things you'd like to make sure are included now is a great time to speak up. Buell wisely announce the dates early to allow folks around the world enough lead time. I had dinner with Mr. Buell Enthusiasm from Holland two weeks ago and they are touting the trip to America on the Hollish website. . there were 12 response of interest the first day. I am seriously thinking about leading a Buell contingent from the East Coast into East Troy.. . . may not decide which bike to ride until the last minute. |
