Danny, there will be plenty of leaf peeping. The scenery along the route is real nice. We're going to try to avoid the "parade ride" atmosphere, by handing out clearly written route sheets and having some markers along the route. We'll all have a common destination, and maybe have locals lead some smaller groups of varying speed level. The total route mileage will be about 150-160 miles and we'll have at least 6 hours to do it. No pressure at all. |

Yep - There're definitely two or three separate groups going at different paces, all on the same route. Just because the route's twisty doesn't mean we all have one pace to ride at. We'll all meet up up at a Mountaintop Ice Cream stand with beautiful views, midway in the run. Our planners have set up a spectacular leaf-peeping and knee dragging experience for all. Check the deployment loop's continuity from the DERM's 36VLR output through the Arming Sensor, Inflator Module, and the Discriminating Sensors. Sense Low or Force Low circuits are shorted to system voltage; or the deployment loop's high side is shorted to the low side. In this case it may be necessary to scope between 0% and 41% of 36VLR output voltage for 500 milliseconds during the DERM's "monitoring" tests. |

just to give you guys an update derek was transfered up to NH 2 wees ago and was dicharged today. he doesn't really remember any part of the day. he is not on any pain meds but still alittle out of it. he has lost alot of weight (his good leg is about the size of my arm). his pelvis is still pinned together but they should be coming out soon. still not sure on the status of his leg. the doctors up here say it has to go. (second opinion time) sorry for the long gap in updates but rather than daily "he's doing good" i figured i would wait for major news. |

good to hear he's out! how is his mental state. derek's wreck (as well as hammer's)has definitely affected my thoughts about my own street riding. had friends that were killed riding when in my early 20's but now it all seems so very different. |

he seems all their mentaly for the most part. like i said he doesn't really remember any part of the day and he repeats himself a little (telling the same stories two days in a row). he seemed very optimistic about everything although still not sure about his the status of his leg so i know that has to be bothering him he just doesn't show it. we haven't talked of riding at all. he might get back on a bike just to get back on the horse and not be afraid of it but i don't think he will ride seriously any more which is sad because he is a really good guy and i hate to see him have to give up something he enjoyed. |
