Anyone else get an email with a link to a survey from Buell? IS it just me, but when they asked for what model of Buell you owned, they didn't have the XB12S listed. They did have the STT, Ss and Scg, but no regular "S". arrgh. |

I was surfing Buell.com and got a pop-up survey from them. Asking about interest in the brand, the website, my bikes, customer service, etc. |

Yes Mr. Jenkins, I'm afraid you'll have to be killed. Please stay where you are, the nice men from Harley Davidson will be there shortly to get you.

I must say . . . it's not hard to get the impression that the folks doing the surveys know darned little about motorcycles, the industry or the folks who ride them. |

Well, the question states "Performance/Sport" motorcycles, so Indain woudln't really count... |

Indian used to be a sport/performance leader. Ok, so it was before WWII - but what is the avg age of Buell owners again? And I thought we were saying "Native American's today? |

Harley makes the VROD and CVO bikes...seems pretty performance-based to me. |

Man... when I was 14 years old, I was *lusting* for a Puch moped. They were far cooler then even the trendy Batavus bikes, and far and beyond my crappy little Garelli. |

Sam White races Indians in the nitro drags. If I'm not mistaken the recent attempt made my Indian Mototrcycles to ressurect themselves, they produced the "Power Plus 100". 100HP.... now if a factory motorcycle sticks a 100HP engine in a cruiser style chassis.... doesn't that constitute as performance? Might not be sport, but definately performance. |

And since harley offers their Screamin' eagle line in conjunction with all their bikes then yes thiose are considered performance as well. |

And what about Ural? Or Ariel? or Superior? These are performance motorcycles It all depends on whats they are being compared to... And when. |

I just finished mine up. I went with the idea that HD, Indian, Victory do not fall into the performance/sport category. |

Arrghhh! I didn't mind the checkbox for Indian as a "performance sport motorcycle"... but then they asked me for what horsepower I would want on a motorcycle (good question) and then right below they asked me what torque I wanted also (arghhhh!!!!!!!) I expect to argue with people that imagine torque is meaningful and HP is not on internet forums... but I expect better of the factory. If you want to know if I want a broad powerband, ask me so. If you want to know if I want a low revving engine, ask me so. Don't ask me what torque I want independent of RPM... ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH |

Just my 3 cents... I like Harleys. But, with the excpetion of the v-rod drag bike, I don't really consider any of the other STOCK Harleys "performance" per say... |
