Have fun riding today... I hear American Sport Bike has a good Buell/JetSki conversion kit! I've got my airbox conversion kit coming in today-- can I just slap it on, or am I going to need a TPS reset? |

Yea I had a great time, except for the crashing part. Win any? Now thats funny, no I'm too old, slow and fat to run up front, mostly me and the slow Buell run around the back of the field, but not last. During morning warm-ups/practice I crashed hard. Track was still a little damp & green from the over nite rain. I lost the front braking for turn one. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 80 mph. I and the bike went down hard on the left side thus starting the longest slide ever. Bike didn't stop till it was halfway back to R.I. I on the other hand only surfed the pavement to Boston. It was such a long slide it was kinda funny lieing there on my back skiddering along lookin at the birdies in the sky. Front fender was destroid when it hit the tire wall. Mostly cosmedic damage. Handle bars were twisted up like a pretzle. Motard racers donated a new set of dirt bike bars to save the day. I made my three races, rode hard, had fun. I've got a bruise on my hip & thigh the size of R.I. I also got a knot on my elbow as big as Mt. Hope. Not much skin left on my knee either. All in all none the worst for ware. |

Slap in Scott. You will be fine. TPS only needed when switching the ECM's for the most part... Danny sounds like you rode like it was one of the last races of the season... Glad to hear you are AOK, AND still had good fun! |

Thanks Eric, I got it all installed including the servo emulator. didn't pull the exhaust cable yet because I was too lazy to drop the muffler. Then, while feeling it out this morning, I was too busy looking for any differences in power to notice Johnny Law up around the bend. He was cool, though. Gave me a warning for 40 in a 30 but said I was doing 52. Woops. |

Thanks for the support, guys. I'm sitting here in the hotel in Kuwait bored out of my skull. It's Ramadan, so the Muslims are fasting for a month... no food, drink (even water) or sex from dawn to dusk. In Kuwait, they're pretty serious about it so I have to take all my meals on room service (they'll feed westerners but not Muslims). It's on my boss's dime, so whatevs. And to make everything more painful, I'm watching LWR for the 1 billionth time. If I were stuck here much longer I'd have to go rent a scooter or moped or something... But there is some good news: I'm flying into Camp Liberty tomorrow, so I'll get to see my wife. We sure do know how to vacation... |
