All- I got a flyer from some guys about a ride Saturday. An MC called Euro Knightz is doing a ride Sat morning at 10:00. They'll be meeting at the church parking lot on warwick beside Taco Bell. I'm not sure where that is but I guess if you start at one end of Warwick and check the Taco Bells... Should be a good time. I would show but I have to do the teaching thing tomorrow. looks like two Taco bells are at... 15579 Warwick Blvd, Newport News, VA 14409 Warwick Blvd, Newport News, VA Have fun if anyone goes to check it out. To all located benefit and shelleleigh they are both decent roads but kinda short, I think just add them t a loop of more roads and spotted backwoods road off ballahak the start looks promising. did a scouting ride through hungarian not really worth an addition. mostly straight. I'm thinking about posting a flier at SSHD for interested buell riders to join our rides, maybe we find new roads and answers to where are all these buells going when they are sold. leaving knuckleheads I spotted a blue M2 Cyclone riding with a gixxer. I try so slow down so I could talk to him but they jumped on the interstate. Mike |

UGH! The last few weekends have been killing me, and it isn't getting slower until AFTER this next one. I'm headed out to VIR to work with TRG for the Koni race. And next weekend I'll be rounding up and finishing off my honey-do list that I've been sloughing off for the last month. I was looking on the maps for a loop the other day. Don't know if you guys have checked these yet, but figured I'd throw it out there. after running down pungo to the ferry as before... come west on ballahack, shoot up north just a bit, then back east on benefit, dive right-left to indian river, then up north on the east side of fentress, then shoot west to the expressway. We could easily hit something mexican from there. whatcha think? |

Hey Brett You picked some good roads but I think you are missing some of the connections. I just did a recon run down benefit and shellaleigh(sp?) and you can get to those from 17 business (old 104 dominion prkwy) and benefit will drop you onto johnston rd and to 168 battlefield. but if can tie it all together I'll ride with ya! Allright. So I've got the lightning taken apart. Well a little bit anyway. Here is what I've got so far. My intent is polished side rails, tail, heel guards, front brake reservoir, and both levers. I bought a Harley timing cover, the chrome one with the skull, to put on too. I'm debating on polishing the swing arm. check this out. http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p105/kcwatts1/0 14.jpg Mike- when you get that route done could you post a map of it. Thanks (Message edited by kmfw160 on October 04, 2007) |

side rails completed. It's not a bad job for my first time. Next is the tail section and heel guards. Mike- I agree...kinda. A little polish or chrome is nice but it can be easily overdone. I think my end result will quite chic. LOL http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p105/kcwatts1/0 02.jpg |

So...you took the 12 apart huh Kev? Sorry Guys, bad part of being a traveling sales man is the traveling part. Anyway I'll be back on the 13th. Been really missing the ride. |

yeah, I'm still trying to figure out what I'm gonna do with the tail section. I want to cut it but everybody does that. I'm thinkin polish the whole thing and remove the plate part or polish just the top above the light to be in symmetry with the rails. Oh what to do, what to do.

Some still don't believe you actually exist. I'm still working on the idle issue... If you want to put your bike on the chopping block, I might be able to fix it with EcmSpy.... Your Call. I can put it back like it was before. I have not tested it, and the laptop is still "new to me", so I need time to make sure on my own bike. I'll do it this weekend. Tank |

Kevin, Looks like I spoke too soon, dude. I thought the VDSTS cable might work with EcmSpy, but no dice. I have a cable on the way, being made for me by another Badwebber. Should be here next week sometime, but I have no idea when??? And I would still need to test it out before I plug it into someone elses bike. I'll post up and let you know when we're good to go. Sorry for the confusion. Tank |

Ok.... i give up. a little help here guys. Riding to work the pivot bolt came out from my shift peg. I was down shifting from 5th to 4th. So at the light I figured: What the heck, I can get to work in 4th and call home to get my wife to bring me the truck. Well that worked through the first light, but after the second light i actually started to slow down on my way up to 45 mph. Then all I got were revs... So here I am on the side of the road, not being able to shift gears and not getting any motion. I call and get the truck. After work, I put in a new pivot bolt, but still nothing. I can shift, I can see the Neutral light, but other then that, nothing. I've got transmission fluid. It's almost as if the clutch is engaged wither or not the clutch is pulled or not. Any suggestions? |

Sorry but... Burned up the clutch. If you had the bolt, you should have put it back in at least finger tight. Sounds like a warranty issue from here. I think I have enough tools(I'll have to check) to do the job, if you buy the parts and fluids. Don't want to screw with the warranty, though. |

P.S... You can shift, and the neutral light goes out, right?? |
