Ok so once I got my motor off the chassis and opened i found that I needed a few more things so I am going to try to cut back on others. When I posted I was getting the Techlusion Fuel Mani for my build a long with the Dyna 2000 ignition some people asked why, and said that I should be able to run the stock ECM and ignition with no problem. Is this true? I dont want to pull money out from a one part of this build and have the bike run like shit. Let me know what you think Will a race ECM work with a 1250cc kit along with XL1200 heads, XB12R rocker covers, and a D&D exhaust? |

XL1200 heads? How did that happen? |

I believe that XL1200 heads are the same as XB heads, but they come with breather holes in them already. |

Aren't the thunderstorm heads better? |

Currently, I am running the 1250, T-storm, D&D Full exhaust, and a race ecm, w/ DPR 9EA9 plugs... Everything seems to be in working order now, had some detonation/pre-ignition issues, but, needed a new coil, adn changed back to cooler plugs, all seems to be well...er, running octance booster as well(gas here sucks)... No flat spots, doesnt seem sto be running lean... so... And I believe the heads you are thinking of, are the 1200R heads... Just decide on the heads, before you order your kit, the XB/1200R heads use a flt top piston, while the t-storm uses a 15* domed piston... I dont know how much the newer style heads will affect the fueling needs though... Chase |

I got the 04+ XL1200 heads, they are identical to the XB12 heads but like stated earlier they have the breather holes already drilled. |

I installed the race ecm first and it was like getting a new bike as far as drive ability. When I upgraded to the 1250 kit, no adjustments were needed. |
