DangerDave, Avalon Hill didn't make those kinds of adult games...lol. These were/are board games that predated Dungeons and Dragons. I said adult because they are complicated involved games meant for teens or adults to play. |

I had the game of 'Life' - which had cool plastic cars with pegs in them and a spinner in a mountain. 'Battling Tops' under my old man's pool table was 10yo after school fave. If there was no gas for the mini-bikes. |

Damn, I AM old, We made bows & arrows by sawing bits off the trees in the garden, Or built soapbox racers & ran them through the big sewer pipes on the new housing estate building sites (before they were put in service I hasten to add). Or played in the old air raid shelter in next door's garden. Or went poaching trout down by the old water-mill. There were so many great ways to get into trouble! Ah nostalgia's not what it used to be in my day! |

I hear that, even though I am a young man. The local trails where I grew up riding dirt bikes are starting to get all overgrown. Many of those neat places you found as a kid that looked like they were always there are disappearing it seems. -I went out to this cliff spot over looking the Long Island Sound the other day. Once you walked down a trail, there was a clearing at a huge cliff and it was a really cool place. Well, I park my car, walk over to the trail head and it was not there! ....point is, people seem to be staying indoors more. Kids are playin video games and whatever. Well, I am going to go play GTA now. |

"but the most hard corps thing I ever saw was the "quake done quicker" intro" I watched it too . In awe the whole time... Probably 1996? Maybe 7? One data point ... That was actually compiled from a clan of quake players. It was all of their quickest times put together into a movie. |

Hey! Good idea. I would do some online racing - send an email to polyphony... http://www.polyphony.co.jp/english/index.html I'm sure such a game would be a huge hit. I know I would buy it... I've got a whole bunch of sick days that I've never used |
