"I assure you I know as much if not more about sportbikes than anyone on this board" GREAT introduction . Thank you for checking your dealership (wherever that may be) off of my list. I owe you a beer. Oh BTW... "Sportbikes" is two words... Sport Bikes. Thank you... Drive through. |

Is this a joke…has to be…or do you really lack that much humility? Four post and you’re an expert on the members on this site to make that statement. Take care and ride safe, Jason (Message edited by V8KILLR on October 04, 2007) |

Hey Salesguy Don't mind M1, he simply appreciates proper grammar and spelling. He's also recovering from a traumatic experience he had at the fast food joint he used to work at. He's really saying, "Welcome to the BadWeb, Salesguy! We've been waiting for you." So tell me about the 1125R... What does it do, and why does it do it? Where have you ridden it? How many is your dealership getting, and when? Which HD Salesman myth are you attempting to dispel? What happened to your last 2 sport-bikes? (you seem to refer to these bikes in the past tense) |

}I assure you I know as much if not more about sportbikes than anyone on this board What a poseur. People like you, that come off like this, are exactly the ones I DON'T ask when I need to know something. I already have four kids that think they know everything, I can live without another one. For all we know, you could be some 19 year old mouth-breather that has been riding for about 4 months on a clapped out R1 that you "got a deal" on. Reading every issue of Cycleworld and Sportrider doesn't translate to a degree in sport biking. Please. |

Yeah some sales guy came in and tried to tell me he knew more about burgers than me and the rest of the guys I worked with. "How's that?" I said... I've been working here for four months. Longer than any other job I'd had at the time. Since then I've made it to six and a half but that was before the great cheese-thumb incident of 04. Anyway, I digress. So why does it does what it do Salesguy? I mean in your professional non-harley sales guy opinion and all... Oh and... What hammer said . |

oooh somebody opened the #10 can of DOH! this should get fun...ive been riding for over 30 years and what i know about sport bikes i can write on one page of paper im sure....wish i knew as much as that guy does...what a smooth opener... i must say his dealership would do well to shove him over to the harley side of the shop so the myth isnt dispelled and can survive. |

"I just wanna say I work in multi-line dealership the big four and HD ..." --------------------------------- Is there such a thing? A Honda/Kawasaki/Yamaha/Suzuki/Harley-Davidson-Buell dealer? Anyhow, welcome to the forum; we will look forward to being enlightened. |

Up until recently, F&S Buell in Dayton had Suzuki, Kawasaki, Buell, and Harley. They had to "seperate" them into two buildings, but the buildings were connected by a hallway and you can go freely back and forth (sales and customers). They dropped all but Buell and Harley. |

Hmm... In honor of "Salesguy", own3d after 4 posts: http://salesguy.justgotowned.com/ I think that he sets expectations too high. He should start out lower and work his way up. |

LMAO. . OK this came off way wrong. . I was just trying to convey that I knew a bit about sportbikes. . not that I was the best thats ever been, I wrote this after reading a post on HD sales people. . I just wanted to stress that not all are so one sided to believe that nothing but HD exists, because I know a few of them:-) I sold the zx-10 in july to a guy out of NY for a small:-) profit after owning it for 2 years, I am currently researching my next bike. I rode the Buell at Mid-O, Probably one of the best bikes I've ridden on the track, my complaint is this...Hand controls are stil off of an eliminator 125, and the back end of it is like every other sport XB model, I think for the money they want for it they could have upgraded those 2 items. And for M1, I grew up with an English Professor so I am pretty sure I can speak any english I wanna. . lol I heard you guys were great and I assure you I didn't mean to come across as a know-it-all, If I did I apologize and hope you guys can move past that. . lol Thanks, SG |

No problem, the dogs usually dump their loads right by the front door and newbies often step in a pile or two on the way in. Wipe your feet off and stick around, good place to visit once you get a feel and find your way around. |

FYI, Battley Harley-Davidson is a multi brand dealership, Ducks, Yami, and BMW. If fact for a little trivial, Battley’s the first Buell dealership in the world. That’s some thing I always wished they advertised. They are a GREAT dealership…thank god I’ve got Hal’s as a replacement since moving from Washington D.C.. Jason P.S. no hard feelings Salesguy and welcome! (Message edited by V8KILLR on October 05, 2007) |
