Recently there have been a few times when my Neutral light didn't come on when I first fire up the bike. After a few seconds to a few minutes of running, it will finally light up. Any idea what could cause a delay like this? Thanks, ~SM |

I am not sure what the neutral like sensor is but I am imagining some sort of magnetic pick up near some gear or shaft. so I would think that you might have some metal stuff built up on the sensor and was its running it cleans off a little. I would start with a fluid change and if you can locate the sensor maybe a removal and cleaning it might help. But then again I have never seen the sensor so this could all be garbage once someone with a manual or experience chimes in. |

Mine did that a few times a few months ago. But, I was also having problems getting in neutral all together. Primary needed adjusting. Just a thought. Rich |

Just to add another weird Neutral thing... My Neutral "N" comes on when I am in 3rd gear, doing 4900 rpm, at 55mph wtf? like clock work. odd. |

Mine did the same thing. I brought it in and felt pretty stupid when I picked the bike up. The connection in the dash (behind the fly screen ) was loose. I should have looked there first. But I was afraid it was an indication of some pending tranny problems. Thankfully I just felt stupid. lol |

Thanks for the tip D8008, I will look up under there, I havent been under there in a month, so it is odd that it just started. |

OOOoooooo, yeah, I should look under the dash. I monkeyed around with a SignalMinder awhile back, and may have tugged something a bit loose. Thanks! ~SM |
