I can do my usual Putnam loop, which at about 50 miles, includes some nice twisties and little traffic (with the exception of the brief stint on 52 in Carmel). I might venture into Dutchess if necessary, but I don't know how people will feel about a 150 mile day on my side of the river alone. 301 is a definite, as is Rt 6 (aka Goat Trail). I know some beautiful roads in Dutchess. Westchester has some nice roads too, but the traffic on a Sunday'll kill us. As the final meeting point materializes we'll get a better foundation for the routes. I'm going to try to get Fritz on the horn tomorrow. | ||

Steve, not much of a big change on our side just added a very twisty road that we happened upon, it links into Harriman and then from there we can pick up 6 or head out towards Tony's place again. hey I finally took my bike out, almost got run over by a black lady with corn rows, then guess what, she yelled at me. ok, so now I am on the way home, I pass a van that is going slow in a passing zone, dotted line.........she swerves into the oncoming lane at me. I am ••••••• steamed, if I had a gun her brains would be all over the road. I am so pissed that I slow down in front of her and do a traffic stop like I am a cop or something. I told her she is going to jail for vehicular (sp) assault. she says "thats what I get for passing in a no passing zone". I look back down the road to make sure I wasnt hallucinating when I saw the dotted lines, nope I wasnt the lines go back for like a mile and we are still parked in the passing zone right now. I want to punch her, so I take out my cell and try to call Hammers buddys. no service. I am fuming......smartest thing to do was to jump back on my bike and go home. so yeah, I finally got out on my bike, hehe. prolly make it to the HH3. and to the people who do not know me, no I aint crazy and I don't go around shooting people, dont even own a gat. :P maybe I will stick back with you Rich on the wideglide or whatever its gonna be, bring your gat tho just incase ok. hammer will be on my xb12. i'm bringing a passenger on the dyna so no sense in letting the buell sit this one out. good for hammer to get back in the saddle on a familiar machine anyway. | ||

I was passing her on the left and while I was passing her she swerved left, at me. (while i was in the oncoming lane....passing) I told her she is going to jail for swerving at me, yes. And because it would be illegal for me to do anything at all about her attempt on my life, yes I tried to call the cops. Isn't that what I am supposed to do? And as far as "punching her" "bringing weapons"......... you know me in person and know its a joke so please don't start one of those internet fights like I am some stranger. The others know its a joke from riding with me, so because I havent really ridden with you I will tell you......its a joke. peace -Jed edit: and let me add this. Was that Hammer I saw on the black firebolt riding with a fellow on a Gixxer on Rt 6 in Carmel/Mahopac today? I was doing a dry run and had pulled over to some GPS voodoo when I saw them pass, otherwise I would have tried to catch up to 'em. | ||

The run is much bigger this year, with sponsors and more new faces coming outta the woodwork. This year's run will be strictly twisties, no long-duration straight lines or long stand-arounds at gas stations.. Overly impressionable novice riders are not going to be encouraged to ride over their heads. This is about riding, and having a great time, and not about flipping off the public. I've never had anyone drop their bike at a run I've sponsored or helped out with, and this year's HH III should be no exception. Great people, Great times...
