From what I've been gathering from the reviews, it should be around 175-200. We shall see. |

My guess of mileage btw fill-ups (ie with reserve left): 150 hard riding 175 average 200 freeway cruising (at close to legal speeds) Gone are the days of 50 MPG on the XBs. Oh well, I will take the tradeoff! (Message edited by fresnobuell on September 25, 2007) |

Netted high-50s on the Thunderstormed S2 up and back from Pocono, all highway cruising with the wide saddlebags on. No complaints here! |

Gently-ridden tubers mileage is not in any way comparable to range on the 1125R I'm betting there are HUGE variables in range in a tank of gas. My S3 when ridden hard, gets mid-30's and when I'm babying it, nearly 60. My SV650 on the road babying it got nearly 55 and when on the race track, we measured it at 17MPG. Range is subjective. Yeah, there were complaints about the lack of range in some early reviews but if I recall correctly, they were still working on the developmental fuel injection maps at the same time. |

My guess in high 20's to very low 30's if ridden at darn near redline all day on a track. I'm half guessing, half hoping very high 30's to low 40's for normal aggressive (not abusive) street riding. It will definitely be a lot less than the air cooled engine but I bet that large frame gas capacity keeps the range in the same ball park as the Ss/STT/Uly. At the very, very least, in the same range ball park as the S/R/SX. |

Hey, Steve. My very breathed on 1250 S-2 got 50+ on our outings the other day with Al and about 54 on the way home at 75+. Might have to do a tune-up on your beast-- |

Sorry, I wasn't trying to compare my S2 to the 1125. I have absolutely no frame of reference...but given the fact they're on what, the 15th or 16th map now, I'd bet it's going to be as good as it can be by the time the bikes hit the road. When my customers ask me "how far can I go on a tank" on picking up their new bikes, I make the "throttle motion" with my right hand and smirk "it's directly related to this". Quite literally, YMMV. LOL. |

I like that: "It's directly related to this..." (making throttle motion). That about sums it all up, I'd say. And FMJ - I can still hit 60 mpg. I haven't done much to it except the stock race kit. Nothing inside. Doesn't take much HP to scare me anyways. |

The person who asked the question could have made a guess. My guess is he wanted to know what someone is getting who actually has one of these bikes. You guess is nothing but a guess. Come on guys. |

And who has one of these bikes? With the fuel mapping and other last minute tweaks the MPG figure is probably changing all the time. The company surely won't publish an official MPG until the bike design is finalized--and then we all know how accurate that number is. It should be in line with other high output Twins & riding style will be the greatest factor. |
