Yeah, it was a good race with great weather. I lucked out! I might grab a copy of that race the next time I see you. One thing about actually being there is you can't always see the whole track. Also...I am supposed to get my bike back tomorrow!!!! Its been too long! I need a ride! Anybody find out how many 1125R's the dealership is going to get? (Route 66) |

Drake, Looks like you had good weather during the trip. The jet lag is a drag for about 4-5 days.... hard to stay up past about 8 pm and you wake up at 4-5 am.... |

Probably not. At this rate I still won't have my bike back yet. It was supposed to be done today, but I called and that's not gonna happen. Its been nearly 3 months with no bike. |

Drake, if you can drive down here you can ride mine and I'll ride my brother's bike. If nothing else, maybe some medic around your area would lend you a bike. (Message edited by cochise on September 29, 2007) |

I was eliminated in the first round, I took of too quick got a red light. Not enough Buells and Sportys showed up(two Buells, 4 or 5 sportys, a few V-rods and a dresser). Maybe next year we can have a real strong showing of Buells... |

Medic and Cochise, Those are very generous offers. Let me see how this week goes. I got back from the trip and I became very sick. The antibiotics are starting to work. |

Motor runs good. Feels nice and strong. However, I still have an electrical gremlin. My wife and I got stranded on the side of the road about 15 minutes from our house. I had the neighbor kid come pick us up. For some reason the battery quit charging during the ride. The Stator, Voltage Regulator and Battery were all replaced last week. It was charging fine on previous rides this week. Something must of came loose or something... Any ideas? |

Yeah, you need to take the passenger pegs off. Will it help the bike run? No, but at least your wife will be home to pick you up instead of the neighbor kid. |

Check the fuses, use a multi-meter to make sure it is charging. |

Well, I don't know what the hell I did, but its charging fine now! I took the battery out and put it on the charger. Its back up to full charge now 12.7V. Then, I checked all the fuses. They were fine. I also wiggled around and checked all the connections to the Voltage Regulator and what-not. I read here on the BadWeb that the connection from the VR can be quite sensitive, so I zip tied the SOB up real tight. Then, I put everything back together, went on a 25 mile ride, and rechecked. Guess what? The battery was still charged!! Like I said, I don't know exactly what I did, but it is working fine now!? |

Took a few days last week to ride the skyline drive (OK-AR) after that I made my way down to Beavers Bend Park (OK). Total miles 584. I would say the skyline is one of the best motorcycle roads in the US! |

Man, I wish I found you guys sooner. Yeh it's me(Eric), Jason. I have been trying to ride as much as possible. It's been mostly short trips, however. rte66 is getting 4 1125's(mine in Nov., 1 in Dec., 2 in Jan.) at least I think thats what Jody told me, I was supposed to get mine around the 16 of this month but it's been pushed back a couple of weeks. Is anybody going riding or want to go riding on the 17 or 18. |

Hey Eric. Yeah, I would go riding with you, but I actually sold my Firebolt this week. Wasn't really planning on selling it...(yet), but I had a buyer approach me and I got what I wanted out of it. Now I am eyeing the new 1125R. Sounds like I won't be able to get one till December or January, though. I think it will be worth the wait. They say its going to be a mild winter, so hopefully there will be some decent riding weather when I get one. |

I went down to the Cycle World Motorcycle show on Friday. I went straight to the Buell display. I got to see the 1125R and meet the lead designer, Tony Stefanelli. Great guy. I'll post pics later. |
