Am I the only one who thinks that big a$$ aluminum thingy on the X1's is ugly. I love the XBRR tail. What options do I have? What have you guys done? Pics? Thanks! |

im sure an xb tail a welder and some material could get ya matched up to an x1 frame. that would be bad a$$! you would have to modify a seat or even combine an x1 and xb base then cut foam and re cover. ive been thinkin about this too, but i cant seem to get ahold of a whole xb tail |

Played around with a few tails.... GIXXER(04 I think) lines up well, just need to make your own subframe... |

I'm putting a XBR (not the RR) tail and plastics on my X1 just as soon as I done with the swingarm. It's real close to a bolt on. The top mounts need a little spacer on each side to take up about 3/16 on each side and the bottom tabs need to redone to get the proper seat angle. Think about this, the XB battery mounts in the tail. Leave the battery in it's stock place and you pickup a ton of free space. I also think the seat will be a bit taller and lost the sliding forward feeling that my stock seat has. I wish I had a camera I would post some pics. Maybe this weekend |

Beatx1, Post some pics! I wouldn't have dreamed you could put a XBR tail on an X1, they seem so different. |

There used to be offered a carbon fibre seat subframe to replace the original. (I say it in the X1-files)It was nice but it's not offered anymore. |

http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/6005.html Here's the CF under tail section. I have it on mine and have loved it. The question that's in the back of my mind is if you think it's so ugly, why consider buying it? |

I'm not talking about the undertail. I'm talking about the cast aluminum frame that supports the seat. |

Never knew they made a CF piece to replace the aluminum sub frame. My bad. That would be a considerable weight savings. |

That would look good on the back of my CF extreme. Dig the single seat. |

Am I the only one that sees carbon fiber and wants to paint it? |

I've seen painted carbon fibre... I like the subtlety of it... you only notice the weave from up close. The sub-frame was going for around $2000. I still wanted it. I was saving up pop bottles... I wonder if they still have the mold at RRC. |
