Its never to early to start planning.... Next May 21St, Leave from Columbus Ohio after work on the Uly and head west to the In and Out Burger 2900 W.Sahara Ave Las Vegas, NV 89102 Its about 4300 miles round trip. Take HWY 70 out (eat a burger) and head back on HWY 40. I have never seen the Rocky Mountains, and In and Out burgers a damn tasty... Sound stupid? This idea is coming from a guy that went from Columbus to Washington DC via Maine for lobster dinner..... |

What about your diet? Guess you'll need more horsepower to race that bike, or do you plan on getting an 1125? Love you too........ |

On the subject of burger run... http://www.mtbaldylodge.com/index.lasso is a mighty fine place for a burger. Their onion rings are a classic. If you are going to LV anyways it would only add 500 miles to your round trip. The road to get there is quite memorable as well.

On your way west, swing north thru Wisconsin and stop at PETE'S in Prairie du Chien. You won't regret it! Great views of the Mississippi as you cross it into Iowa. Can I come? |

Tony, man them burgers are pretty expensive!! $200 is a little steep for 4 hamburgers. i hope they are good.....lol James, i have heard that Kewpee is pretty good. i will have to shoot up there sometime and try them. My personal favorite is Maid-Rite in Greenville OH. they have the best loose meat hamburger anywhere. Mark, how long do you think the trip will take? |

That's just insane. I would never ride that far for a hamburger. However... Georgia to Maine for a lobster sounds rational. Mmm, mmm... and hmmm. |

Wolf, you are a racin' fool! The genius of your idea is that married fools like me have over eight months to work on our wives. It goes something like this: Mrs. CmhXB9: There's something on your mind. I know it's not good. What is it? Just tell me and get it over with. Mr. CmhXB9: Ooooh. Nuthin. (pathetic whimper) Mrs. CmhXB9: Tell me now or I'll cut you off until you DO tell me. Mr. CmhXB9: Well, one of the Badwebbers wants to ride his sweet Buell with the auxiliary fuel tank 4,300 miles round trip to Las Vegas for a hamburg. Can I go with him? Mrs. CmhXB9: I knew this day would come. You just bought that thing to get away from me! You can't do it unless you buy me that light blue MiniCooper with the racing stripes. Mr. CmhXB9: Deal. Mr. CmhXB9 (aside to self): That hamburger is up to about $22,000.00. It's worth it! Now, how can I work in that 2008 Uly? |

Dennys Beer Barrel Pub in Clearfield, PA is a worthy destination for a burger. Home of the "Worlds Largest Burger" (123 pounds?). http://www.dennysbeerbarrelpub.com |

Wolf If you meant I-70 and I-40 I guess I'm not interested. I'd have to get a new set of tires while eating my burger. Interstate miles absolutely eat the tires on my bike. Maybe its because to many cheeseburgers have enlarged my butt. |

Wolf...... A burger in Las Vegas is as worthy a trip as any other. Sound fun. Too early to tell. But sounds really interesting. A warm up cheese steak run to Philly???? Genos in South Philly. Not a terrible trip bout 10 hours one way. (Message edited by Lost_in_Ohio on September 27, 2007) |

LiO. Imagine a patty a little bigger than a WhiteCastle on a bun the size of standard cheeseburger bun from McDonalds. The burger is cooked on a bed of onions and a ton of onions end up on your burger with copius amounts of mustard and ketcup. You can get with or without cheese. All the fries and onion rings are cooked to order and everything is wrapped in wax paper. If you get them to go by the time you get from the counter to your car door the bag is already see thru. The best way to enjoy a Telway is to get a bowl of chili with your order and dunk your CB into the chili, that are know around the area by poloks alike as "Dunkers". If you eat inside there are only 6 seats at the bar and 4 along the back wall and everything is either stainless steel or small white tile. The first one to run up here for a Telway run other than 65460 gets a free sack of burgers! |
