I went down to the local shop on my XB12X this afternoon. Jeeez! it's nice to be riding it after some of the huge bikes I've been testing lately. I've really liked some of them too, but the Uly is just 'me'. Lovely Spring Afternoon, you still need 1 thermal layer under leather to be comfortable. Azure Blue skies. Coming home, The Pretenders 'Biker' came up on my iPod Play list. I stood in the shed in all my gear and let the song finish while I just looked at my motorbikes. ------------- Biker they tell me You're a dangerous lover Well that might be true Oh, but I'd never ride with another Maybe they've never had their arms around anything so wild and free You bring the biker out in me I can't understand it Why people give you grief You play the one armed bandit Like an outlaw with a belief To them it's the norm for a man to conform to a godless society You bring the biker out in me You bring the biker out in me Because they've no interest In the struggle to obtain The status and bogus desires That drive most people insane You who have nothing have Something that only the 3% Could ever see You bring the biker out in me You bring the biker out in me ----------- OK, I changed the number. |

I did a road test on an Ultra. I got the Doobie Brothers Long Train Runnin just as I hit the freeway on ramp. I loved the world that day too. |

I like "Barracuda" by Heart. Something about that bass riff... If you're talking about the intro, it's actually a guitar riff. There's a local group around here that covers it - the guitarist is insane and it sounds perfect on his Telecaster. I have far too many songs that get me in a groove - Everything from Chevelle to Van Morrision to Billy Joel to Fair To Midland. |

I hate to admit I am listening to Three Dog Night - Captured Live at the Forum . . . There's something about that version of "Heaven is in your Mind". . . I'm looping it with the original by Traffic. |

If you're talking about the intro, it's actually a guitar riff. Actually, I was referring more to the octave range than the actual instrument. Something about it just makes me want to roll the throttle WFO.} |

Du du hast du hast mich du hast mich gefragt Have you heard their version of "Stripped" originally by Depeche Mode ... takes on an *entirely* different meaning. Kinda like Marilyn Manson's version of "Sweet Dreams" - very different. Henrik |

"If you're talking about the intro, it's actually a guitar riff. There's a local group around here that covers it - the guitarist is insane and it sounds perfect on his Telecaster." You need a Strat with a whammy bar (vibrato actually, but everyone calls it tremelo) and a phase shifter to get it just right, though. I play a Tele, btw. |

Henrick, you're right! Also I really like the covers that Johnny Cash did before he died. All the songs he covered have a totally different feel to them. Just about every time Smokescreen and I are together, Rammstein can be heard... ...for miles! |

Actually just turned on my TV and Stereo to the Music choice channels and listening to 70's and 80's. None stop uninterupted toon's. All this stuff brings me back...... WAY back. Its Funny and I know there's lots of guys that are older then I and have more memories on the account of that. But its funny now that I'm getting real close to 40 that I really miss the old day's more now then ever and music is really the only thing that brings us as close as we'll ever get to reliving it. |

If you dig Rammstein, don't hesitate, get the volkerball dvd set if you haven't already. I'm not sure if its released in America but you can go to rammstein.com and order it there. |
