"folks compressed air takes all grips off and puts them on with ease...I haven't cut or lubed a grip in years"
While that sounds good to say (and I once believed), some of them have to be cut off. They literally come apart (especially older Blasts) and there is nothing you can do to get them off in one piece. You'll then spend the next half hour cleaning off the remnants.
I think there's better success if your Blast is new.

Can anyone give me an installation run down for putting on superbike bars w/ traction grips. I have the general idea but I figure that it should go in a certain order. Plus any inside info that makes the install ez'er always helps. TiA

Sorry nobody has answered your question (unless they emailed you privately).
Abbreviated instructions would be to take all the controls off first, then swap the bars, put the controls back on.
Hints: cut the locater nubs of the switches. Drilling holes in the bars is pointless because the nubs will likely shear off anyway.Use duct tape around the bars to help hold the switch (once around should do it).
Cover the tank and fender with a towel, blanket, etc., to avoid scratching it.
Carefully reroute the clutch cable, it can go several ways, just dont pinch it between the fork and frame.
Thats all that comes to mind.
Its a pretty simple procedure and you shouldnt run into many problems.

well the superbike bar i like the feel.. but the mirrors vibrate like never before... so i would have to say i need some handlebar endweights or some dampening or somthing....

and if you need the steps to change handle bars, the procedure is in the service manual.. its here at the site if you dont have it, get it, it helps no matter what you are changing or fixing.

ya know - the tires almost fit the rims - just a bit of scuffing on the swing arm - so I chucked my Big Wheel - damn - I knew I should have kept it for some good reason!

The Traction grips are a Buell item - can order at any Buell/HD vendor and pick up, the superbike bars are pretty common and can probably be ordered by any savy parts guy as well - though their price will be higher than the Chaperal price.
