Can someone whose added lights post pictures of how you wired the lights in, where the switch is, etc.?

Thanks,
Mark

Gary,

Any chance you could duplicate TreadMarks "deathray" mounting kit? (as long as TreadMarks is okay with that).

Thanks
Brett

heh heh heh

I'm famous

no problemo.

The fender mount (top drawing) was way big and had to be redrilled. Sorry, no dimensions there.

An extra bracket that pivots from the inboard mounted blinker extensions.

See the Light!

Marks3tbillet,

Autoswitch as-5p2. http://www.cyclegadgets.com/products/product.asp?Item=AS
Double press the flash to pass and they are on, double press again and they are off. Ran main power from the battery for the lights, everything else is under the hood. You can see it in the bottom center of the picture and where I tapped the highbeam signal.

JMH,
Now that's the ticket. How did you ever find that neat thing? Sure beats the heck out of an extra switch. Now that we know about that device I can't see why anyone would do it any other way.

I got the idea from others on this board. Been a long time so I don't remember who, but I think it was Maximum. There is also a little LED that I drilled a hole in the left control housing and mounted to let you know it's on or off. They are a wonderful invention. Several versions available so you can connect different ones at the same time to control other things all from the flash to pass switch.

The Autoswitch works great, it's small and fits anywhere under there. The various taps are accessed easily and figuring out a decent mechanical switch location is unnecessary. I mounted the light into the dash to the right of the instruments, easy stuff.

I ran a big 10ga fused power lead directly from the battery to a relay under the dash for the lights, but grounded it to the nacelle with no problems so far. I made everything big under there in anticipation of installing bigger horns also.
