can someone give me a price on a new rear end tail piece, the one the license plate goes on. i know everyone cuts the cheesgrater off, but i need a price.

I priced the complete assembly over a year or so ago, and it was around $211 at that time - ordering from a Buell dealer.

We at Dark Horse Moto sell a license plate relocator bracket that is designed for your XBS for $31.95. The kit is complete with a laser cut bracket, stainless steel hardware, and installation instructions.

They show up on Ebay. I sold one for $40 to a fellow badwebber.I had got it with a plastic set and swingarm off Ebay.

I just replaced my tail section.
M 0612.1AD l/s $112.00
M 0614.1AD r/s $112.00
M 0613.1AD Rear Bracket (Tail) $114.00
Some one was kind enough to Rear-End Me with a 1987 BMW 325 in traffic 3 wks ago fortunately the only thing hurt was my Bike, tail section ,dented rim and some scrapes and Knocked me for a loop but not hurt.

I purchased a tailpiece off ebay and paid $120 any my hubby made the license plate holder with his plasma cutter.

He also bought a tailpiece for $95.00 off ebay and already has made the license plate holder for it (should be receiving it today)

These were to replace the original cheesegrater so we could streamline the look.

and all i saw were :

2 metal brackets, and 2 screws...


so what exactly are you trying to sell?

That would be one metal bracket, four stainless steel screws, lock nuts, washers, and installation instructions.
