Notice the nice black axtell jugs neatly tucked under the frame. I'm still in the process of getting it dyno tuned. I'm waiting on changing to Vrod Destroyer injectors and a Micron exhaust before it's tuned. But here is a taste of whats to come. And perhaps end the debate on which color is faster? /imagelink{http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v230/192837/Phil sVehicles012.jpg} /imagelink{http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v230/192837/Phil sVehicles013.jpg}

Not bad, man! In Ulysses trim, I think you've got quite a sleeper! |

tell us about your 88 configuration cams ? heads mods ? throttle body mods ? and what about ecm ? why an injectors change before a fuel pressure regulator alteration ? i'm really interested in this because i just finished my 88 and i'm testing it in order to do a good final tuning. ...this is the K.V. right? bye Alessio |

to Alex hi , i had a look at your numbers in the link you mentioned , real interesting document but i have a question : how can you 'stay' in a race engine , a 12" long stroke , like i read in the link , bored to 90" with cams bored throttle body , heads porting with bigger valves , with the stock fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator and stock injectors ??? can a new map work on this stock system ??? i'm asking you this because i just finished an 88" with heads porting , stock valves and cams , roller rocker arms , bored throttle body, and a "rapid bike" working on race ecm . the rapid bike 's asking for a 22 to 27 % more fuel and after some full-throttle riding it looks like fuel pressure reg. and fuel pump are'nt able to maintain this higher fuel demand....just a guess... bye Alessio |

that sounds like quite a beast Alessio! I'm glad you have it up and running. |

Alessio, the stock fuel system is capable of delivering much more fuel than most people would think. If a 27% fuel increase in Your case satisfies the engine´s fuel demand for one single WOT run while leaning out with more following WOT runs I would something suspect to be wrong. Maybe the AFV is creeping down. Adjusting the stock map to run stable with a high output engine isn´t easy and it takes me quite a while on the dyno but it works. The 90" street engine in my example has been running pretty stable for some thousand miles up to now. The bike with the race style engine will be further modified (exhaust, rpm limit.....) but up to now the stock system delivers enough fuel to feed it (with a modified ECU map of course). |

thank's to Brian and Alex i tested the bike again . Alex your guess is right "afv creeping down" to 77% so i adjusted again the map on the "rapid bike" i set again the afv to 100% and i tested it again , now i have in quite conditions ( low rpm and low throttle % ) around 18% to 22% more fuel respect the race ecm and a 23% 26% more in hot conditions ( full throttle and high rpm). the bike seems to run even better . now i want to check again the afv value after some minutes riding at constant speed and then i will see if the ecm "learning mode" had change the afv again to correct my set . this is not easy i know, but i think this is the right direction... Alex, that your race style engine its able to run with stock injection components is a real good new , to me it means no need to buy bigger injectors , fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator...really good. thank you guys bye Alessio |

you can see the need to make 2 custom parts to connect the stock shock to the "long" swingarm bye Alessio

That looks like stunter gearing, either that or you're set up for really tight canyons or city streets. |

to Brian final is a 20front 48rear (2,4:1 stock ratio) on 530 chain , but i have also a 21 front and 50,49,48,47 rear in 520 chain...so , changing ratio should be not a problem (i hope so...) i don't use the 520 setup now to preserve it for track days. next step , a complete new front end i bought a 43mm ohlins forks a couple of brembo calipers a bigger treeple a new (benelli from) front wheel with 2 new race rotor(from brembo)....i need a while to put every things together ...right now i like to ride this new fantastic 1430 bye Alessio |

Ahhh, well I guess the solid disk must just make it look larger than it is. |

Brian yes it look larger than it is. some weeks ago i went to Misano racetrack to see the italian supertwin championship. a friend of mine freespirits.it was the only buell in competition with 27 ducatis 3 suzuki and the "always" winner Guareschi (a ducati GP developer and tester) with his un credible 160 RWHP home made Moto Guzzi MGS , there was also some people from the famous MACADAM TEAM to see the Freespirits bike , an interesting 1250 carburetor tube frame XB , YES xb based, and a guy from MACADAM showed me their KIMBALL race software and some picture of their xbrr engine parts....i remember your brother's using a kimball ...right ??? bye Alessio |
