well MAYBE. i am still debating, and so is she. if we sell HER blast, then MY 12 will have to be hers... not sure i like that! it kind of messes up any plans i had for it. then again i almost cant turn down what we are getting offered for her blast. |

Someone was looking for help on SCG suspension settings, or a swap to regular suspension in the KV not long ago. |

No Rice: pm sent, but if you didn't get it: My 03 xb9sl has only 2800 miles on it. I'd be interested in swapping to make mine a std./ yours a sl. I don't know whats involved with the front suspension interchangability or even if it's possible/practicle. I assume the rear shock is a non-issue..but then you know what they say about making assumptions. |

For the swap all you need to do is swap forks, shock, and kickstand. It is really easy with pre-06 bikes because the fork tubes are the same diameter. 06+ standards have to swap the lower triple tree too, so they take a little more work. I did the swap with another badwebber last winter to make my 'bolt a low. The result is a bike that fits what i need better. I couldn't be happier. The SCG/low suspension is a little harsher than the standard but that is because there is less travel to absorb the bumps. It's kind of similar to mounting a race spec suspension on your street bike, not as plush, but it gets the job done. Small sacrifice for the added peace of mind at stop signs. 1.25 or so inches feels like much more than that when you are talking about ergonomics.
