Hey Bros... Anyone no of a kit to lower the rear of a 2000 S3T about 1"? It has the K1400.8 latest showa shock on it.. The unit is a tad tall for the wife abd Im wonderin the best way to drop it down... Extend the front mount or? Any Views appreciated!!!!!!!! Hankb..... |

you can lower the S3 by extending the front mount for your rear shock. here are some pictures:
I fabricated these mounts for one of my S2's so a previous girlfriend could ride it, and then fabricated another one when she bought an X1. It relocates the mounting hole about 3/8" which will lower the rear end about 1". You need to slide your front forks about 3/4" in the triple trees to level the bike to maintain your handling. Changing just the rear shock and not the front will adversly effect the handling of the bike. You've got to keep it level... Feel free to email me if you have any questions, Good Luck! |
