I've been getting a lot of PMs about the event, so I thought I'd update everyone here with what I know so far. The Buell (and H-D) Demos are Friday and Saturday. Here's what's on the truck (All 2008s): XB12X in Thrust Blue XB12R in Midnight Black XB12R in Arctic White XB12Scg in Valencia Orange Translucid XB12SS in Cherry Bomb Red Translucid XB12Scg in Cherry Bomb Red Translucid XB12SS in Midnight Black XB12SS in Cherry Bomb Red Translucid XB12STT in Arctic White XB12STT in Arctic White XB9SX in Hero Blue Translucid Blast in Midnight Black We'll also have a few of our H-D demos available, but I'm not sure what specific models. Should be at least one from each model family though. The Dyno Shootout is from 10 to 4, depending on how many people sign up. This is a FREE DYNO SHOOTOUT for Buells and V-Rods. Don't miss your chance to join the 100 HP club! Service seminars will be running throughout the day, with the focus primarily on performance, since we're having a dyno shootout. We have at least two Buell technicians who will be available to answer questions at certain times, so if you have any, bring 'em on! (The questions they'll be best at answering will be Buell- or Harley-related, not necessarily aftermarket.) The Bike Show will be all day long, with the winners announced in the vicinity of 3:30pm. Among the classes is a Buell class, so jump on in with your ride and show us your stuff. The food will be provided by Beanas Mexican Restaurant (they won the votes it seems!) which is the same food vendor from a few years ago. They'll do some mexican, and some Italian/American type of stuff, so there should be something for everyone. Food will start around 11:30 and run until at least 2, or until they run out of food, which they did NOT last time. The Band, of course, will be Erik and the Thunderbolts, and I'm still a little sketchy on what time that starts. My feeling is that they'll go on in the afternoon sometime, once everyone gets kinda warmed up. We're trying to get a little more detail on that today. OH last year I wanted to have a "who-came-the-farthest" contest, but it never really got going. If you're a badwebber, and you stop by, MAKE SURE YOU VISIT THE BADWEB SIGNUP TABLE and let us know you were here, and where you came from. We'll even have little sticky name badges if you like, so that you can easily spot those you like (or, easily avoid those you don't like. ) And hey, we finally know how many 1125Rs we're getting, and although a few are presold we still, as of now, have 4 available, and we're expecting them in November, although that's subject to the whims of the motor company. Need directions? We're located right in between rt. 1&9 and rt 27 on Milton Ave in Rahway. THERE IS CONSTRUCTION AHOY EVERYWHERE AROUND US so if you're downloading directions, PLEASE PLEASE make sure they are current. If your directions mention a left onto Hazlewood from Rt. 1&9, that exit is GONE. It won't work, you'll just be angry. If you are northbound on rt. 1&9, you now need to follow the jughandle at Milton. It's just past the KFC/Pizza Hut on the corner. (It's actually much easier now.) Need a hotel? Mention us when you call the Best Western Riverview in Rahway, and you'll get a special negotiated group rate. Call them at 732-381-7650 (the rate is not available online as far as I know.) The advertised price online (as of right now) is $109, but our price should be $85 or lower. There are also other hotels in the area but this is the closest, at about a mile. More questions? Post 'em! (Sorry for the repost, but I wanted to make sure I got everyone!) |

Hey sounds like a plan!!!! I am headed to Philly on Saturday morning to pick up a Vespa GT 200 for my girlfriend. I'm headed back to Mass the same day. This will be a nice break from the monotonous highway driving. I wonder if I should bring the bike for a dyno run?????????? I would need help unloading it as I just had ACL replacement surgery 4 weeks ago. I have a wall at my house that I back the truck to and ride the bike in. into the back of the truck, not the wall |

I'm going to try like hell to get down there at least for Saturday. They're calling for a little rain up here, but it's supposed to be perfect down there. I hope to meet a lot of fellow BadWebbers. |

They're calling for a little rain up here, but it's supposed to be perfect down there. I haven't checked the weather at all. Since there's very little I can do about it even if it isn't nice. Call me superstitious. I am HOPING for nice weather. It was still OK last year even though it kinda rained, boy, sun is a LOT more fun. I'm really getting excited (nervous, scared, whatever)!} |

This is going to be one ROCKIN' GOOD TIME. Erik and one of the other guys in the band have been going 20 hour days and living on an airplane . . . they're gettin' ready to load band equipment, tonight after practice, in a truck, work all day Friday and drive all night to be at Liberty Saturday where schedule dictates they jump right back in the truck and undo what they just did. I probably don't need to mention . . this is one gig they RALLY enjoy doing. It started quite by accident and each year the hospitality and the good times just seem to increase exponentially. One of the few times they actually get to, at least partially break out of the moto-gig, get down and have fun. And I've just found out that the way cool shirts I ordered last Saturday are shipping today. I can't wait to get one signed by the guys . . . I think the artwork, which Erik had a pro do . . . will go to the front of my collection of several hundred Buell shirts. By the way . . .I noticed, while at Liberty the other day, that there are still about 8-10 of the "MUSIC MATTERS" shirts from the 2006 Thunderbolts Tour on the shelf. That's the one Shandon designed last year and it's a classic. Bottom line is that if you are anywhere in the area, the weather is predicted to be perfect, the foods always great, the company better and it'll give you a chance to see what I'd pretty much call a model Buell dealership. See ya there! Court |

So is Erik going to generally be hanging out as well? I'd love to get my frame scribbled on and at least shake the man's hand. I studied him quite a bit during college as an entrepreneurship student and just generally admire his drive to make sure he's always doing what he loves. And for the dyno stuff - is there a limit to how many bikes you can take? And I guess the weather doesn't matter much to me either. A little rain...actually, a damned LOT of rain hasn't ever stopped a good time on the bike, so I'll be coming regardless of the weather. |

Erik may be exhausted so you should exercise great care to insure he does not shake your bike and autograph your tummy! |

Damnut - This is important - one of our techs will actually run the bikes on the dyno. You don't have to worry. I think our insurance company would poop a brick if they thought we were letting customers in there. If you can get the bike here, we should be able to find someone to unload it from a trailer, as long as it's in operating condition and ready for a dyno run. Give the service dept. a call to get on the schedule if you want. 732-381-2400 x27 You might have to park your trailer across the street or on the side street though, because we will have the actual lot (which is really not big enough for this kind of thing) closed off to everyone except motorcycles! Let me know if you need anything else - |

THOSE OF YOU WHO BOOKED A ROOM WITH BEST WESTERN Due to a management change, the rate we negotiated at the beginning of the year was, let's say, temporarily forgotten. I just reminded them. IF YOU MENTION LIBERTY HARLEY-DAVIDSON, YOU SHOULD GET A RATE OF $89 PER NIGHT (plus tax). Make sure that's what you're getting when you check in! |

Just to toss this out there - anyone from the Albany, NY area looking to have a few guys to ride with send me a private message. I don't know if we're going to avoid highways or not yet, but we expect to leave in the morning in time to get there by noon. 3 hours by highway, 5 by backroads. |

I have one additional bit of news about the Open House. There's going to be the Thunder Mountain Custom Cycles truck there with displays. I know, it's not Buell-y, but I figure some of you may be closet chopper lovers. The bikes are really beautiful - we have one now that is already sold. The rear tire is just ridiculous. It's humongous. Anyhoo - thought I'd let you folks know! Anyone been checking the weather? |

Well, the demo truck is here and in our parking lot. All the bikes have been prepped and gone over and test ridden, and the route is all mapped out. We're all ready for you guys! Also, the Thunder Mountain Cycles truck is here with all 12 of our 2008 TMCC bikes! Man, they are REALLY something, if you're into that kind of thing. :P Anyone out there a closet chopper lover, you'll want to see these bikes. Pretty soon, it'll be tomorrow, and the tent will get set up, THEN it will start to feel like an open house! I hope to see all of you out here! Watch for the BadWeB tent! It should be near the Buell Demo signup tent! (Might even be the SAME tent!) ->chellem |

(We still have a few from last year too - maybe we can work out a package deal of some sort!) ->chellem BTW I set up an Open House page on our site, you can check it to see if there are any last minute changes or additions.
