Has anyone actually completed this swap yet? If so do you think it was worth the grand? |

The 08 Uly uses offset triple clamps that move the fork tubes forward to allow them to turn further side-to-side before they contact the frame. The new design fork tubes are larger and have offset axle clamps at the bottom, which moves the axle rearward to offset the amount the tubes were moved forward. This maintains the same front geometry (rake and trail) as the 06/07 bikes. |

There remains some uncertainty as to whether the cabling from the earlier bikes will work smoothly with the new head and forks. Who wants to be the first<grin>. |

What is the uncertainty about, length or routing? If it's length, it would seem that stock cables would work if the stock or lower handlebars are used. I base that on the fact that new cables aren't needed for the 2" RoxRisers. It doesn't appear that the extra triple clamp reach would approach 2". |

Do the RoxRisers work on all Uly years? I was thinking length. Your point makes sense we just need someone to do it and then we will know. |

Rox has recently come out with a Uly-specific version of their Risers. I remember at least one BadWeber has done the conversion. That's why I said what I did. I don't have the link right now though. |

I did the rox risers. Cables were fine. |
