How many different XB frames are there in production right now? How many have there been since the beginning? Dave |

Lightning Long, Uly and TT all share the same frame. The 1125 has its own. Lighting and Firbolt share the same frame. Three for the XB platform Please correct me if I am wrong |

I'm not sure if they actually include the 1125 frame in the xb family |

The 1125 and XB frame are not the same, there are several important differences. --Sean |

The XB stands for what i beleieve is "X-Brace" which is whats over the rear cylinder, and the 1125R does not have that brace its like a linear latteral brace it was spoken of in the 1125r forum. personally I don't care for the 1125R, too much up front and nothing in the back. I'm not an ass man but I do like things equally proportioned. |

Yup only 2 XB frames. Firebolt/Lightning and lightning long/Uly/RR/TT So far, that's it. The 1125r is not a direct relative to the XB. It is more like a cousin to the XB. The Blast is an entirely different animal. |

I don't know XB or 1125 still looks like an XB to me. So I grouped it in with them. |

I am with Brian on this, because I asked in the 1125 board why the 1125R wasn't an XB1125R and they said it wasn't an XB. --Sean |

XB = "X-Blade chassis" 1. Firebolt/Lightning 2. Uly/TT/SS |

I don't know this for sure but i was told that the Uly/TT/Ss frame and the new 1125r frame are the same dimensionally on the outside but the inside were the motor sits is smaller/ narrower which is where the increased gas capacity comes from... |

There was also the earlier versions (2003-2005) with less fuel capacity. |

I can see where you are coming from SF101, and there is a difference in fuel capacity (<.5 gal?) but does that make it a different frame? The castings and stampings are identical and the only difference is one has a tube welded where the other has a pair of aluminum plates. Everything else is the same. Is that enough difference? I guess it depends on how closely the person classifying the frames is looking and how tight their definition of "different frames" is. I'd say that this one is up to you Dave! |

I think I'd also mention that the Uly differs from the XB12Ss and TT with the peg mounts. I understand these are detachable, but it's almost a modular part of the frame. |

if your going to include peg mounts, you might as well include the swing arm. but seriously the engine is a stressed member, therefor the engine is considered to be part of the frame. so no they 1125R frame is different from the XB just ask Rotax or HD |
