Two weeks now with my bike and love it more every ride, but it's just too much black. (wheels, frame, body work, engine)A guy from down the street stopped by last weekend when he was riding past the house. (He said he had actually never seen a Buell before.)Anyway, his Suzuki had black wheels and he masked off a portion of the outside circumference of the rim, applied a gel paint stripper, used super fine steel wool, and then Mothers polish on the now unpainted section of the wheel. It actually looked pretty good. Has anyone tried something similar with good results, or would I be better off saving up my pennies to powder coat my wheels or try to get a set of P.M. wheels?

I had the three spoke cast alum rims on my 02 M2. They looked bad. I sanded them down painted them black all but the outer lip. They look very good and easy to keep clean.

Thanks Maxbuell. Do you mean bad as in bad or "BAD" as in good?
