RJ, I loved it. It blows the Firebolt totally away, in comfort. I've always been a Lightening rider. The power was crazy the last 2 times out on the track I was winding it out, no power drop at all. My right foot was on fire though. I know Buell knows about this. It handled like a dream. k |

I'm sold. The 1125R was an awesome ride. Gotta pay off the Lightning first. |

I was out on both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday I saw someone on a new XB Lightning stop over at Borders in Frederick. Sunday I saw another XB Lightning up in Thurmont on 550. Excellent weather for riding none the less! Too bad I cant really see if my new under seat heat barrier helps any. I guess there is always next summer. I went to Delmarva bike week on Saturday. Saw 5 other Buellers. 2 lightnings, one X1, 1 Firebolt and 1 Ulysses. The event was pretty cool. Busy. Acres of parked bikes. I was wondering how I would find my ride when it was time to leave! |

There have only been 3 occasions this year were I rode with Badwebbers: MBIV, Res Ride, VIR. I thought I was the only one. Outside of hooking up with the boys from Fort Washington it's been a fairly uneventful summer, locally. It would be nice if we could form a group ride this Fall. |

I'm looking to rent, one night, this Thur to Friday a Buell XB12X. Does anyone know of a dealer that rents Buells? Looking around Baltimore area more specifically. |

Ironically, WE rent a Buell. But that probably doesn't help you too much does it? :P Sorry. I'm so excited to see everyone on Saturday! Remember, if there's a special bike you want to ride, get here EARLY or even FRIDAY if you can, and if you want to be in the Dyno shootout for sure, you can call us and preregister. There IS a limit to how many we can physically do, not because we don't want to, but, ya know, time marches on. There's lots of info in the event listing, recently updated (sorry about that) in the Storm Fronts section. Have a good ride! |

Chellum, I applaud your dealership for carrying Buell in your rental lineup. If it was only closer than the 2.5 hrs. I'm still looking. I don't want to plunk down $10K plus for a bike that doesn't fit our needs. I need that 2 up long sport touring type of bike. |

T9r, give Baltimore Buell/HD a call on the rental. (410)238-2003 Eric (Marlinrider) in Sales is a big Buell fanatic. Maybe he can help you. |

Thad, Annapolis handed me the keys to one and told me to come back with an hour or so. I went on a weekday before lunch. Or bring your 12r down my way for an afternoon and we could swap and go for a decent ride. |

I've demo ridden the XB12X, even done a short demo ride 2 up (wife on the back). What we are wanting to know is how long of a haul bike is it? Also want to know is it good for day trips or can we go 2 up for 400 hwy miles and still feel good. I'd have to modify the front fairing to something much larger for highway traveling, something like the Firebolt or 1125R fairing. |

I spent nearly a whole day on one when we were in Buell School about a year and a half ago. Loved it. Stay away from the low seat though. I'm 6'4" with a 34" inseam. The low seat kept scrunching me up towards the airbox and I had to keep scootching back. Standard seat, no problem, nice and flat. |

Thad, I ride the Uly and have done a couple 12 hour days to and from March Badness and several 6 hour days, even with a passenger. The first time I jumped on the Uly, I took off for Canada, completing two 4 hour rides to get to Ottawa. I rode back in one day, nine hours total. It was this ride that convinced me to buy one, and then I sold both of my Harleys. All I have is the Uly in my garage. |

I rode my Uly out to homecoming this year in parts, but rode back from Valpo, IN in one shot. 11 hours, not bad. Knees were a little sore from being bent for so long and not wanting to stand up on the PA turnpike (I'm 6'2" and 36" inseam.) Wife rode with me on the original seat from Valpo to Homecoming, and she hated it. Not enough padding, too much vibration she claims. Cool, now I can lay the triple tail down and keep the suspension setting for me (woops, did I type that). |

Anyone here planning on going to Buelltoberfest in Suches GA? I have that Friday and Monday scheduled off, but I've made no other plans so far...If not, I'll be there for MBV definitely. If you haven't been, the roads are amazing. Good times indeed. Twintour: If I make it, I'll set up camp where you guys were for MBIV and clear that area. |

Ras, sorry, but I can't make Buelltoberfest. I finally talked my wife into going on a cruise. It leaves the following weekend.... I'm not sure about MBV. My parents bought a place in FLA around Tampa. I'm guessing dad will want to go to Bikeweek next Feb. March is a bad time for me to get away, so I'm leaning towards Homecoming next year, we'll see. For anyone else considering Buelltoberfest or MBV, it is a MUST DO event at least once in your life, if not year after year after year... |
