I'm addicted to my Buell- even my buddy on his SV650s loves it and frequently comments on the drive out of corners I have that he does not... But while he envies me there, I envy wind protection! A mile or two @ 90mph or more and my neck is ridiculously sore and because there are SO MANY amazing sweepers in my area, I need a little less windblast puhlease! So, does anyone have some interesting/creative/practical windscreen applications for Lightning models? I can do a little fabricating... but I'm almost desperate. Alternately, anyone want a lightning for a 'bolt?? It'd be a happy trade I'm sure. If that's the case, PM me, I'll forward details bout my XB9. |

I'm pretty sure American Sport Bike sells a larger wind screen for lightnings. I think its something like 4" taller and an inch or 2 wider. It might take away a good portion of the windblast on your chest but doubt it will do much for head buffeting unless you tuck in. Cheers, Luke |

Yes, I've just gotten to checking that out. May be a lil out of my price range right at the moment... See, I'm more into making stuff ya know? Just wondering if anyone's found something particularly effective. Thanks though ~Dunte |

I use this, a laminar lip, it helps direct the wind a little bit higher, and over the rider. |

I'm tall and I tried the Laminar Lip and the wind was still hitting my helmet. The best thing I could find was a Uly screen - the tall version |

Your neck muscles will strengthen with time and you won't have a sore neck after rides anymore. OR, do like I did and slap a Ulysses flyscreen/windscreen on her. The flyscreen is a couple of inches taller, and for highway riding you can put the windscreen on for even more wind protection. I love mine. Looks good too IMO. |

I am looking to replace my original wind screen on my 2007 Buell Blast with something a bit more "sporty looking" to give it more style instead of the dirt bike style screen that originally comes on it. Anyone know where I can find something or a place that can do a custom replacement?
