Entire kit?
As in air filter, and ECM?
I don't think they come as a "kit"
The muffler is no longer being offered by the company.
Numbers by the way could probably be acquired by asking a sponsor, in the sponsor's section.

I thought I read that the the entire package came in one lump a couple of years back. The I read the classifieds and saw a kit for sale "new in box". I could be wrong, been there before, will be again.

Not this guy, never been. Let's not talk about numbers, let's talk about the quality of my mistakes.

It was a kit, but discontinued the muffler. Your best bet is to buy the ECM and air filter, and get an after market muffler. I suggest the drummer. Very similiar to the race muffler, in that you can jack it up, gives good numbers, great sound, and the drummer is only a little bit more $.

I can't understand why they'd discontinue the pipe, but make the other two available. You need all three to make the system work properly.

I believe it was for legal reasons.

EPA noise restrictions along with H-D becoming PC.

The Buell race can isn't really needed anyway. It's good for race tracks (as the name applies) because it is by far the best top end pipe for the money but in my opinion, it's not as street savy as say a Drummer or Micron.

I'm still kicking myself in the behind for not waiting & saving a few more months and spending a few extra $$ on a filter, race ecm and a Drummer instead of the complete race kit.

Metal, I'm having head and lower end work done on my bike. I was asked to buy the Buell kit by the guys doing the work.

I was also told by a Buell tech that in order to use the race ecm properly, the can was needed. Now whether he knows how a Drummer or Spec Ops or others will work, is beyond me.

He probably doesn't know about the Drummer & Special Ops etc..

Yes you do need to use a non stock can with the race ecm because of the different fueling.

The race can was made specifically for the race ecm but this was before other companies jumped on board and there were no other choices.

Kevin Drum designed his original Drummer to work with the race ecm & air filter. I hear it works well with stock ecm too but I would prefer the race ecm myself.

If you like having the most power down low and in the middle of the rev range I would purchase a Drummer and the race ecm & the filter.

If you like the power up high at the top of the rev range then you'd need to find either the complete kit IF any dealer has any old stock left, or.. Buy a used Buell race can on ebay and buy the race ecm & air filter to go with it.

Thanks Metal. I had a local dealer find the kit today. I have to thank Milwaukee Harley, they're not a Buell dealer any longer, but took the time to find me the kit.

I was going to go with the Drummer because I already have an ecm, but the guy doing work on my bike (Harley head tuner) asked that I stay with the Buell Race pipe (he wants to see how much hp he can gain with stock HD/Buell parts and I agreed). Knowing I'd never find just the pipe (brand new), I opted for the kit.

I may have one available, but it will have some serious dings and puck marks in it from off roading ;)
