Just noticed that they are 5 6 8 and 10K ouyput are not the 4000K the ones that must used on their bikes? Also does one just need one for low beam if so is it just not 75.00?
If 2 are used does not it take a few seconds when switiching on to high beam for it to warm up Not sure?

I just recently put a 8k setup on one of my bikes. It works great. I didn't buy them from Xenonlink, though.

The RoadGlide gets it next, as soon as I sell some Buell stuff. It takes two H4s.

That's a fair price.

I wouldn't go muck beyond 5k you will run into problems with LEO. Well at least here in ohio blue lights will get you a ticket. Beyond 5k goes to blue.

Hogs:
Depending on what "generation" the ballast's are will depend on the time it takes to reach full illumination. The newer ballasts are pretty darn quick. IMHO would be a little leary of trying to use HID as a switchable (meaning on/ off) light source for that reason. Also the ballasts don't really like being turned on and off all the time.

Most Hi/ Low systems use a mechanical means to switch from Hi to Low (Low to Hi). Some work better than others. For example Hella 90mm Lights should be a pretty good system.

I am on my 3rd installation of HIDs in 7 years. The technology has gotten better and cheaper but, the lamps designed for HID do work better than ones that are adapted.

I have the 8300K kit from the Rider's Warehouse folks. I have had absolutely no problems with it as a kit. The light is a little bluer than others, but they do a great job.

Here's the write-up:

I have not had a single problem with the LEO folks.

I like their kit because it is specifically designed for use with motorcycles. Everything is gasket sealed.

They also have a 5000K kit as well.

Scroll to the very bottom of the page and you will see the ad for the conversion on the left.

I fixed the link to the Hella 90mm lights.

The "r" XB's use an H3 bulb and the other XB's I think use an H7 bulb. You will have to know that when you are purchasing a kit.

Here is another source for HID lighting.
www.hidfoglight.com

I have read some really good reviews of Hella's 90mm headlights. A source for the Hella 90mm is www.rallylights.com. This web site is loaded with lighting information.

Also look at www.lightforceusa.com/

I'm going to be upgrading my lights this winter. I ride an 03 firebolt xb9r. I'm looking for a quality kit. You say i need an H3 and not an H7 ?
