Update from jlnance: Pete does NOT have a broken shoulder. He does have some cracked ribs and a contusion on his head. The hospital is being safe and running more tests. Both U4euh and jlnance love the 1125R. Nance said "it's fast . . . REALLY fast." Rubberdown is having a good time as well. |

Yall say Hi to Shred out there at VIR! He is one of the coaches/moderators out there on the track. He called and said he rode the 1125R in the parking lot last night and was giddy like a school girl!! |

Final update from The Boy. No more mishaps with our gang. Rubberdown, U4euh and jlnance are tired, but I suspect they are also sporting giant grins from racing. Might have to give each of those boys a Badass button. |

Why did I not call in sick? Why? Why? We suffer from the same disease Carlos and I think it's called something really bad. We should've been there. |

Why did I not call in sick? Why? Why? 1 - Because someone has to get paid around here! 2 - Not to mention what you'd walk back into when you returned. 3 - Other KNC employees post here! Reality sucks doesn't it honey? |

After the 2nd run. I switched to the 1125r after this and used Buell's tires.

My hardcore friend Bumblebuell.
She was the only person who had a question after the orientation: "Can I pass after turn 6?" She actually did pass people. She was the only Blast. |

I'll eventually sit down and write about yesterday, but the first thing I want to say is Thank You Mike Warren. I didn't know I was going to be doing a track day when I rode up there, and ended up signing up as they were beginning a mandatory Novice riders meeting. Mike did all the track prep for my bike while I was in the meeting. I really appreciate that. |

Luddy looks very tired in that pic. It had to be a rush. I am sorry I backed out. |

Mike, I think he had just woken up, that was taken in the morning before I knew I was riding. After I signed up, I didn't have time to take pictures. I'm sorry you couldn't make it. I was looking forward to talking with you. Thanks for the mail you sent me the other day btw. |

I spent the most of the day at the hospital with Pete. Rachel gave up her track day as well to assist. It sucked! He's a good friend and needed help and will be o.k. in spite of some 5 broken ribs and soft tissue damage. He's going back to the hospital today for some further work. Rubberdown, sorry to hear about Pete's accident. I know Pete is one tough dude, but broken ribs take a very long time to heal. I speak from experience. Tell him to hang in there, the first three weeks are the worst. Take care... |

I think this is Spike. I'm going by the fact that it's a Red Firebolt.

"Why did I not call in sick? Why? Why?" I still have no answer for you or for myself. My wife's been questioning my intelligence for years and I can now, after 25 years, see her point. I guess all I can do is buy one and show her how smart I really am. Kristi, No buzz-kills with that whole work thing |

Hi guys, Haven't checked in here in a while. Jim- great photos! Mike- dang sorry to hear about Pete. I imagine he's a hurtin' dog about now. So, Mike, the $40 question is whether you're ready to drop a deposit on an 1125R now that you've ridden one? |

It is about time for Mike to get a new bike isn't it? Think he'll have one by March Badness? |

That pic is Pete on the Yellow bike. I'm pretty sure that's Spike on the red Bolt. Spike was a real star! Great to see everybody. Next time I want enough sessions to learn the track. It's a great facility. The 1125R was great. The first one really buzzed the pegs at high rpms but they are pre-production bikes. The second one I rode was great and I was just starting to get comfortable on a sport bike again and was learning the track. Although it was my last session of the day before leaving for the hospital, it was a fun one. Spun the tire at hard lean going uphill to the right out of turn seven, pulled a wheelie through the corkscrew, got my knee down a couple of times. Coming through the kink on the front straight under hard acceleration is amazing. Thrilling! |
