Chris, Got ya covered, dude. Got a room with 2-doubles at Sleep Inn by the airport, about 15min from the track, on rt58. Was holding out for a buddy but that didn't happen, so it's yours if ya want it. $45/night should cover it. How long are you staying? Let me know! | ||

We should be there Tuesday evening/night depending when we leave Frederick. Got a room at the Sleep Inn. Working on the bike this week getting it ready. Sux the Beast is still at the shop. I missed the best riding weather this year. Question: does the seat cover on the R-rear have to be taped/secured? I put black "Gorilla" tape over it, looks just like a bee. If I ever pick up a Yellow R, I'm copying Bumblebuell. It looks too cool! | ||

Ras.. No, you don't have to additionally secure the tail/seat cover just so long as it's locked down correctly, you'll be fine. You like that sticker.. She had it 'custom' made. If you're ever looking for stickers like that, let me know and I'll have her give you the site she ordered them from. For those of you that are curious, she's got the same thing on her leathers as well.. One on the jacket, one on the pants... hehehehehe.. | ||

Thought I would chime in. Will be arriving at hotel in Danville with Bill G (buell2001b) on Tuesday nite. Staying at Best Western Windsor Inn at a Harley-Davidson rate of $75/nite. Harley and Buell will be on the track for dealer training with the 1125R on the 13th. See you at the track early on Wednesday. | ||

Closest to the big red "barn" as we can get, best I can tell. We should have it pretty well laid out come Tuesday evening. Blu, If we have to, we could park like 8 spots apart and string up some caution tape??(you know, to "represent" ) | ||

Another change in plans from my end- My brother-in-law's 999 is still down, so unless the Ducati dealer can get it put back together before Tuesday he probably won't make it. That left me scrambling to borrow a truck for the day, so at this point it looks like I'll be there in a white Dodge Dakota, unless my plans change yet again. In any case I'll be the guy with the huge beard riding a red Firebolt. | ||

Tuesday evening, after Ferarri guys are done.. we'll be able to head back in and 'mark our territory'.. Don't have any at the moment, but there is an Advance auto right by my hotel(don't ask how I know). They should have some. I have a pretty good summer cold right now, but it has not stopped me from "the load". I'll be there tomorrow, but don't expect much usefulness out of me. I must see this Beard phenomenon of which ya'll speak.... | ||

Howdy you DC-VA-MD Buellers. I'll be up from Asheville, NC on a Blue 2000 M2 in Intermediate, Katie will be riding her black Duc 620i in Novice. I wanted to get the oil cooler put on the M2, but ran out of time. I WILL} be trying out the new Penske/Race Tech fork internals and Penske shock though! We're staying in the Straton Inn in Danville. We'll go the the track on Tuesday evening about 8:30 and hope they let us in to set up the gear. I hate to be in a rush in the morning. Looking forward to seeing all you almost Yankees. | ||

It's clouding over right now.. been a hot breeze blowing which is better then yesterday.. During one of my sessions yesterday it was 107* on the track and high humidity.. Phew.. I was dead at the end of the day, so much so that I sat out two sessions just to get my strength back. Some of the coaches had to bail out as well.. But I had a great time none the less.. Rode 'OK'.. I'm sure the racing types that are going to be there have nothing to fear in the Intermediate Group.. at least not from me. But, I KNOW we're in for a good time... Right now, Ferrari club is on the track.. That have Porches, a Shelby, Vettes and some BMW's .. there's even a Lotus out there as well as at least one 'real' race car.. See you all then.. Soon.. It's gonna be Great! (no sign of Buell yet, but they could be parked down the road where I can't see them so it's no big deal. | ||

Update! At about 4pm I started to see some of the Buell folks wandering around ... After a few directions, they're off to where they wanted to be and the 'thrill' is building... Ok, I'm back to what I was doing... Hope I can actually get some sleep tonight..hehehehhe.. | ||
