I know, I know it's only Sept - Setting up. I'm going to do some calendars the Cafe Press way. Shop Link is here. Geeze I hate having to do this... Dave, could I interest you in a sponsorship? And here are some better resolution jpegs of the images. http://homepage.mac.com/david_cohen_design/cal1pro ofs/index.htm Was planning on doing some other collections too - multi brands etc. I can set my web site up to take people to the URL pretty easy. bike-arts.com works. Do you reckon it would be worth classified advertising in the stateside mags? Which ones? Or do you think it has to be t*ts and arse to work? (Message edited by glitch on September 10, 2007) |

I love your photos, Dave. I wish I had the dough for a camera to do that kind of stuff. Constructive critism...typo at the bottom of your "homepage" link Americans in the South Apcific Calendar Art |

Dave, I enjoy your writing and your photography... I've snagged a couple of tips from your stuff. My suggestion with the above pix would be to ps-out the pole; the bike is nicely captured (yellow can be difficult). |

DD, From one photog to another... +1 on the pole comment from RegKittrelle. I would also PS out all the specs and dirt on the frame, pipe and swing arm. Lastly, I would mute the hot spots on the plastics from the sun. Nice composition! And remember, if you want your color to pop (Dodge and Burn)!!!! You could probably just wheel the bike forward a bit, the pole would disappear and the yellow on the boards would extend front and rear from the bike, sort of like the yellow on the bike merges with the yellow on the ground/boards. I have an easier time repositioning a bike than I do photoshopping a photo. Always nice stuff you do though. |

Interesting thing about the pole - I have several without it but chose that one for balance. I'll re-visit. |

Leave the pole. It provides range to the shot.Without it would appear floating on a barge. |

There would be an argument that says I'm after the reality of 'in situ', but let,s not make it gunky, huh. I don't mind the hot spots - points to a nice day - as long as they are not complete blow outs. By the time it gets on paper they soften too. Thanks - more to look at. |

Junk the bike, keep the pole & do a pole calendar, you'll sell a bundle in the UK, it's full of Poles, the cross Channel ferries even put the signs up in Polish now fer chrissakes. Nice pics you do, wish I had the knack. I'd say leave it as it is, it looks like someone's just ridden up,got off and walked away, rather than a staged publicity shot. Has a natural feel to it if you know what I mean. I'm rambling now, time to go........ |

Hmmm...I do like the two of them anyway... No really all great pictures. If it was all Buells I would buy one for sure. (Message edited by jayvee on September 12, 2007) |
