Check out the helmet I picked up while on vac in Europe: Note the amazing transforming qualities! But wait there's more... I scored myself some reflective pinstripe and... voila! heres a night shot. a bit blurry but you can see the functionality. Now all I have to do is ride around and watch the chicks come a flockin!

245 euro. How much is that in dollars? About $335 USD. The Euro to dollar rate sucks right now. Six months ago it would have been around $300 USD. I have a former employee that is studying in Italy for the next year. If the exchange rate improves, I might have to pick up a new helmet |

Looks like the locking mechanism for the chin bar is still the straps. Is that correct? |

I guess that they don't have "skeeters" in europe it looks cool but I wonder what it's going to be like to get shields and parts. |

A girly acquaintance of mine here in Austin has one of those (well, not too girly...she's a Rollergirl and rides a Ducati military single with a rifle in a holster strapped to the side!). I tried one on last time I was in London and discovered that it is designed for people with very round heads. Me, I'm an oblong, baby! I was quite disappointed, cuz they are really cool. Yep its a Roof helmet. I had seen them before but I wanted to try one on before plunking down the cash for one. Nondual- The visor has some kind of anti-fog coating now. no foggin as of yet. Ft_bstrd - yes the two red thing-a-ma-jigs are the locking strap mechanism. Its a good fit for me (must be my round head) and once you lock the visor and chin it is quiet in there. The pilots' helmet desing is what I dig! |

If you're looking for something similar but cheaper, check out the Airoh TR1. Don't know if they're available in the US, awesome looks & features for the price but just don't fit the shape of my head, sadly. I had to replace my lid after my recent accident, the Shoei Raid I had did it's job & saved my head. I've just bought a Shoei Raid II, put it on & it feels just like coming home, perfect fit. |

I imported an Airoh TR1. Personally I prefer the look of the Airoh to the Roof. It's my third Airoh and I'm very happy with both the quality as well as the fit..... http://www.feridax.com/product/W-987692e1e220bdfe9 34b8026e22c82fc/3/21/Airoh+TR1+Plain+Black+Matt.ht ml |
