I just went to Kragens, selected a metal one with 5/16" inlet and outlet. At the same time, I replaced the fuel lines and clamps. The filter was only about $5. I'll probably replace it again next summer. Barry Hollister |

I was thinking about replacing mine too. What kind of pressure do they have to put up with? |

you have to have one that doesn't cause much back pressure. i have had 2 in the past that were near new but caused a starvation problem at higher rpms. i now don't run one at all. |

I changed my first one about 8,000 miles ago. I used the stock metal filter from Buell and have no problems at all. |

I just bought a small plastic one from a lawn mower repair shop, works great. |

Don't use a cheap plastic fuel filter on an injected bike. Use a filter (and clamps, btw) that was specifically made to handle the psi for injected applications. If you're bike is carburetted, you can use a plastic filter and standard hose clamps. |
